KoTOR2 mod converted over to KoTOR 1?

I was watching a video in youtube called Star Wars KoTOR (Heavily Modded) - Lets Play Part 1 - Endar Spire and in the mods list there was a description that said:

 shortlightsaber **KoTOR2 mod converted over to KoTOR 1.

Is there a tool that converts mods from one game to the other? If there is, I would like to know where to find. Thank you.

There is no kotor 2 to kotor 1 converter he simply renamed the files to work in Kotor 1.

The mod is likely custom made since it's a lightsaber mod and since it's custom modders are allowed to convert custom model lightsaber mods for Kotor 2 to kotor 1 with the permission of the original author. Since this Youtuber isn't releasing them just using them for personal use in a video without claiming he made it he doesn't necessarily need permission to do make videos on it.

Model files won't work out of the box renamed, but textures will. As this is a custom model, there is no issue of porting, and the rule is about uploading another's work, but there is no rule against helping someone with the process of converting something for personal use.
