K1R 1.2 Impressions and Bug-Reports [READ ME FIRST]

Game Breaking Bug encountered for LIGHT SIDE JEDI playthrough. I was  on Tatooine attempting to  negotiate with the Tusken Raiders and  went to buy the Moisture Vaporators from Greeta and he does not spawn at all, he's not in a different building or anywhere else on accessible Tatooine. Meaning no way to resolve that quest without killing the raiders. The Miner Captain at the Sand  Crawler also did not spawn for me. As well as earlier  on Korriban the Czerka Rep in their office you used to be able to talk to and buy medical supplies from was  absent for me..... I have, after deliberation decided to replace K1R with the community patch, as these bugs, for me make it not worth restoring the content that is restored as personally once in-game I found the Iriaz and the Jawas on the dunes distracting as well however I  don't know how to uninstall just this mod without uninstalling my game as well, there is no guide provided... I have the Steam  version of the  game  I downloaded the most recent version of the game, on a clean install and before any other mods... all my mods were either on the compatibility list or edited small appearance variables i.e. clothing and Revan's canon  face... nothing that would prevent these spawns... as a former mod creator for other  games I have independently confirmed to the best of my  ability  there are no other mods I have  installed that would have caused this issue... Since this comment I have  uninstalled  and clean reinstalled my game without this mod (or rather will) I just thought  I'd let you know So  you can potentially fix these spawn bugs for other users

Tried a fresh install of Kotor three times all with only this mod installed and all of them crashed when Canderous takes you to Daviks Estate. It doesnt even finish loading.

I don’t have a bug report, but rather a question: how could I fix this bug? This is a dialog.tlk error, as far as I understand, and it only occurs in this quest, and only on this droid character. Only K1R and BoSSR are installed.

Etienne 76, that's not a dialog.tlk error but a .dlg error. The file at fault is the conversation file used for the droid. At the moment I can't tell you which it is (away from PC) but it's either in your override folder or part of the area's module. I'll check later and update you.

UPDATE: It seems the file we should check is dan14_c869.dlg. Check if you have that file in your Override folder. If you don't have it there, the game will look for it in the modules folder. Check if you have a file called danm14ad.mod there. It's very likely that you do. That would matter if you don't have the file we're looking for in the Override folder. As last option the game would use the original game's file which cannot truly be the culprit.

Only this mod, since most of the mods I use aren't found anywhere, at the moment, but most of those are weapons, armor, and clothing mods that are either reskins, or added into the base game. The skyboxes, since I had an issue with it previously; Pazaak Tournament Fix, because I didn't feel the need to; Better Bastilia, because I have other mods for this; Easy Pazaak, because not sure of the mod, but I may use it in the future; Jedi Justice; Bastilia has battle meditation; Brotherhod of shadows; Taris Dueling Arena; Party Conversation Guarantee; and Yavin IV, since that seems to have some problems.
7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? Entered the Vulkar Base from the sewers, with Mission and Carth, and the door to the elevator to the garage was locked, and I needed a passcard. The other error is the armory door. No way to enter that, at all. I couldn't find a passcard, and there was a Twi'lek in the office beside the armory. I let them go.

Is that the same guide where you already reported issues and the maker of that guide called you confused?

My point is that you might not want to follow a guide from a maker that doubles down when presented with possible issues. Use a better guide instead.

That was the guide, and that was me. I was trying to be nice about things. I did find another guide. I also realized that perhaps I may have done some things wrong when I was modding. And yes, part of it was my own fault. And I could have interacted with the guide's author better. I probably messed up my own game, without realizing what I did. I have found other builds, rather than guides, and I am going with some of their mods. And since I know most of those mods already, I figure I would skip some of those, since I already have them. I have talked to other guide "writers" and even contributed to their writings. Some were on YouTube, and they did like my contribution.

 

 I would like to propose that someone writes something about the K1 Restoration Mod that isn't a walkthrough, per se, but this was changed, and to get here, this is what is different than walkthroughs. And if you run into this, you have something that is conflicting, and here is the fix. Or potential fix.

 

 I just realized, I had used early versions of this mod. Way back when. When Holowan Labs was still around. Or maybe it was the TSL one? I can't remember, but I think I had used an early version of this mod. I have to see if I can't find the cd/dvd I burned my mods to, at that time. Wow, I just went down nostalgia lane there. Anyway, if I find the mod, I will post which version I had last. I will reply at another time on that.

 

 To clarify things, and to be sure whether you have the bug, or not. When you clear out the Black Vulkar base's main level, there should be a male human, not a green Twi'lek, in the office by where the armory is listed on the map. That is to the right of the main entrance to the base. If you have the Twi'lek, then you have something that affects the base. You need to find a save before you enter the base, delete all saves after, exit the game. From here, delete your Modules and Override folders, at minimum. Then reinstall Restoration, and then all your other mods, excluding anything that the Restortation mod already does. Like bug fixes, etc. Or you can do an uninstall of the game, delete all that is left, and start over. (This might be best.) Then reinstall all other mods.

To clarify how to fix things.

Question so I want to download this mod on my steam deck and in desktop mod when trying to download the tls patch installer I can find the location where my game is located and I have been looking everywhere in the options in gives me but nothing and yes I have it so I can see hidden files it shouldn’t be that. That is all I know but I would love to find the solution to play this mod. Thanks!
