Which way should I do my hood mod?

  1. 1. Which way should I do my hood mod?

    • A helmet item that has been colored for the standard robes
      1
    • allow a helmet still, and is compatible with any custom robe skins, but the hood will always be up

    • Don't bother, your mods suck

    • I don't mind either option

Hey everyone! Been awhile since I've been around, and I think it will remain that way. I have one last thing I feel is necessary for me to do before I call it quits. I have been in the process of updating my old mods that I feel are still of any worth, which is a unfortunately short list. I have spent far more time here making promises and starting projects that really did not have hope of being finished. I apologize for that.

Anyways, the mini-updates I have made for my mods are available at my new website, canderis.com, and I do believe I have one last mod worthy of an update, my hood mod. Such a poorly put together release that was. It deserves an update, and I do believe that needs to be done before I finally call it quits. I also plan to upload all of my final updated mods to DeadlyStream once I feel they are all complete.

If there has been any other of my mods you all feel is worthy of an update, please let me know. I only will be hosting my mods that are completed in a final form, and does not embarrass me on my site.

Anyways, one final question for everyone:

Would you prefer my hoods to work in the way they currently do, as in a helmet item that has been colored for the standard robes, or one in which they allow a helmet still, and is compatible with any custom robe skins, but the hood will always be up.

Anyways let me know what you all think.

Thanks,

Canderis

Sucks to see you go. You got me started editing lightmaps, which led me toward the levels of quality I now produce. I am extremely thankful for your modding help on LF, and here. :)

Now then, I prefer the hoods in general being down for the classic "cool" star wars look, but I'd still be interested to see what hoods over any if the variety of helmets could look like.

Lastly, before you go, do you have a list or blog of your various ideas that you were never able to complete? I'm sure that myself and others will be interested in whatever crazy plans you have, and could hopefully make them a reality.

Otherwise, it was great fun to have you around in the modding community, and I hope that you do well wherever life takes you. :]

Hope to still see you around the forums,

Malkior

Hmm a blog about all my old ideas. That's an interesting idea. I may write something up about that.

But in the meantime, most of my old ideas are on holowan still in my WIP thread there. http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=192879

My best idea, I'm not sure how much I shared, I plan on turning into a novel of sorts. In fact the first chapter of that should be done in the next month or so, hopefully.

And I definitely can't leave completly. I'll still poke my head around the fourms quite a bit. I can't seem to stay away haha.

But anyways it really means a lot to know that even though many of my projects were lost, I still managed to help someone else become a better modder. Glad I could help out :)

Good on ya, old buddy! I feel like I did some VO for you for something that never materialized - if I'm remembering correctly, just know I regret nothing! Seeing your work was always a nice reward in and of itself, as was the experience of doing the VOs.

I like the old hood option, but it seems as if I'm outnumbered there.

Quanon once offered up all of his incomplete projects that he hadn't any intention on finished. He even added the caveat that all items offered were to do any users to make use of and figure out themselves. You've mentioned that you're going to offer up the mods that are cleaned up. I suggest that you offer up the mods that are incomplete as well - so others can attempt to either complete them or repurpose them. ("Waste not, want not" is the unofficial theme here.)

Canderis, do you have anything that would fall under this category?

Hey Canderis, you and I were talking in the chat and what-not, would you be willing to make Curse of the Sith compatible with TSLRCM?

I have a giant archive of incomplete works. Anyone who wants a link to it should shoot me a message. I can't publicly upload it because mods I have downloaded may be in the archive still. Anyone who wants to use any of my work has full permission as long as they send me a message telling me what they're using and what it's for, purely for my own curiosity. No reply needed.

Does that answer your question, SS?

I'm sure they'd love to hear about that over at LucasForums too.

I corrected that for ya. ;)

Would anyone be interested if I released this skin? It was always one of my favorites. Finally was able to locate it.

Okay, so I haven't modded at all this summer. Sorry  folks! I do have a reasonable excuse this time, however: two things happened at the start of the summer. My computer's SSD began to drop data, and I moved to a new house. I have been helping someone out here with a really cool project that I'm sure you all will be seeing soon, but in the meantime, the reason why I am here today is to ask you guys if there are any mods of mine that I have not moved here yet that people actually want? I moved the ones that I know I still like here already, with the exception of my hood mod which I will be updating as soon as I can fix my PC (which will be in about a month or so, give or take).

Anyways, let me know if there's any mod of mine anyone wants moved here!

I've always been wanting Curse of the Sith here so more people can discover what an awesome mod it is (ahem, especially with my mod review :3)

I'd also like to see the Hawkz pad

Hawkx is an embarrassment. It only functioned to ruin your save.

Curse of the Sith should be up shortly.
