Fixing the camera, blacking the screen

So I get to the bit with the maintenence droid who wants to fix the security footage right? Well I talk to him and the cutscene starts and suddenly everything goes all black as if swapping between cutscenes. Only the next one doesn't start. I can hear activity in the background and music playing but nothing is working.

 

Occasionally I also hear the audio skip. I have tried this with and without party members and I have no others mods other than the restoration project installed Any ideas?

Not really. Seen it mentioned a few times, but never did we get a reason or true fix.

Mostly people just juggled around teammembers and... it worked. And the apparent 'broken' teamcombo's just worked fine for everyone else.

Hm...having a thought.

 

Wait wait- what about the fact that I don't have the official patch updated and the mods are working off of the bare release version of KOTOR 2?

 

Up to this point- a few bugs here and there of course it's been working perfectly fine. You think that might be it?

You need the official patches if you're not using the Steam version. Check near the top of the read me.

 

At least, Fair Strides isn't alone in this now!

Question; Do you let the scene run it's course (letting the droid VO run) or do you try to click through it?

Erm.. I..just now got to M4-78, and I can verify that I have experienced the exact issue which was described. I did not click through the dialogue; in fact the screen blacked-out when the maintenance droid had finished speaking about fixing the camera.

 

I'm now going to try the team member swap you just described.

 

My current team members are Atton and Handmaiden. (I'll try with all different combinations and see what I can find out)

 

Additionally, my game version is a home copy and not through Steam.

You're not going to believe how I got it to work. I have the exact same team members, but I had to

close the quest of finding the missing droid (who was broken down in the maintenance shack) first,

 and then the scene would play all the way. When I didn't close it, the scene would remain as a black screen.
