This is intended as a one-stop shop for all widescreen logos available for KOTOR 1. Upscaled vanilla style, Origin logos, and a TOR-style variant made by GOG; they're all here. All logos provided are 1024x1024, large enough for even ultra high-def widescreen setups. This is *not* a widescreen mod. This is a logo replacer intended for people who are already using a widescreen mod like UniWS. (Check out the subreddit mod build and follow the directions!) Instructions: - Download and unzip the mod. - Look through the 'screenshots' folder (or check out the images provided above) to compare the different options and pick one for yourself. - Find your chosen folder, copy the image (logo_sw_02.tga) file within that folder, and paste it to the Override folder in KOTOR 1. ------------- Credits: 01 K1CP Logo: this was the version seen above -- a higher resolution version of the original KOTOR logo, used by @DarthParametric as the logo for the 'Kotor 1 Community Patch' (K1CP). DarthParametric made a similar 'Vanilla Logo - Upscaled' available in their 'K1 Main Menu Widescreen Fix' mod, as did @Riisis in the 'HD Logo and Bigger Hud' mod. (Here's a screenshot of the first one; here's a screenshot of the second one). I much prefer the version used on the front page of K1CP, as it is a fair bit brighter with a bit more color saturation. 02 Origin Logo: this was the logo used by the Origin release of the game, recolored by them to match the TSL game's logo. 03 Origin Logo - Darker Color: I tried to match the original coloration of the first game, a slightly less 'bleached' look. 04 Origin Logo - Vanilla Stye: I tried to match the original size of the separator element (the part with the 'of the'). 05 Origin Logo - Vanilla, Darker: I tried to match both the style and coloration of the original logo with the Origin graphics 06 TOR Logo: this was the logo used by the GOG release of the game. It was made available by DarthParametric as an optional logo replacer for his 'K1 Main Menu Widescreen Fix 1.2'. (Specifically look under 'OPTIONAL' > 'TOR-Style Logo - Centered'). He kindly made the original available via Discord, from which I made this logo image.

A mod for people who like the clean look of the original TSL logo, but also want reasonable clear graphics suited for a widescreen setup. This started as a few modifications to the TSL logo for my own use, trying to see what worked best. I started with the high-resolution version of the TSL logo used by DarthParametric for the KOTOR 2 Community Patch (K2CP). I then resized it a few times, recentered and reoriented it a few times, and took screenshots as I went to compare. This is *not* a widescreen mod. This is a logo replacer intended for people who are already using a widescreen mod like UniWS. (Check out the subreddit mod build and follow the directions!) I am personally using a 1920x1080 widescreen setup with the Steam patch of the game. I cannot guarantee your results will look like mine. Install Instructions: - Download and unzip the mod. - Look through the 'screenshots' folder to compare the different options and pick one for yourself. - Find your chosen folder, copy the image (KOTOR2logo.tga) file within that folder, and paste it to your Override folder in KOTOR 2. If none of the options work for you, I've also included the raw source files so you can easily make your own. ------------- How to Make Your Own: - Download and unzip the mod - Look through the 'source files' folder and open the raw logo.png file in your preferred photo editor (I use paint.net) - Resize the base image as desired. - Select the whole image, deselect all 100% transparent pixels, copy - Open whatever KOTOR2logo.tga file you wish to use as a reference; create a new layer on that image. - Paste the raw logo image onto the new layer, then move it around to the desired location. - Delete the original layer and 'Save As' a new logo file (ideally in a new folder) - Copy that new KOTOR2logo.tga file to 'Override' and start the game to see how it looks. ------------- Credits: My thanks to DarthParametric for making the original K2CP logo image available to me via Discord.

  5. When I tested out playing KOTOR 2 to see if I could get widescreen tweaks to work (got it to work eventually), I saw that for the inventory screen on the prologue level that the interface for KOTOR 2 actually scaled up to full screen even with a widescreen resolution in use. For KOTOR 1 however, things like the inventory screen, Pazaak games, the work bench screen, and basically anything else that wasn't the live in-game screen including the main menu are basically fitted in a 640x480 screen in the middle (I'm assuming 640x480 anyway), with a metallic border filling up the rest of the screen (I'm assuming in my case a mod is what's filling that with something so it isn't a bunch of blank screen). Now since I'm playing the game on an HDTV screen which is good for widescreen I prefer the HD resolution (looks much better than when I played the game on Xbox), and the menus are still very legible for me since I'm on the couch with a bigger screen to look at. Since the menus and stuff still don't fill out the screen like KOTOR 2 does though, it's still an eyesore in a sense, and I'm thinking of recording gameplay footage and posting it to Youtube but the small screens for inventory and stuff may be harder to read for those with smaller displays. I looked on places like here, The Nexus, and ModDB but didn't find a mod which helped those various menus and screens scale up to fill the whole screen. Does such a mod exist currently, or is one currently in development? Or is it a feature that would be impossible to implement without official support? I'd like to at least have my inventory and level up screens not in a smaller box compared to the rest of the game, and playing Pazaak filling out the whole screen would be great for the cosmetic mod I'm using for that too to view it better. Edit: Thought I should add some screencapture images to illustrate what I mean. These first few are of KOTOR 1 in the menus and screens that don't scale up to fit the screen. Here's an in-game image from KOTOR 1 where everything displays and fills up the screen in widescreen resolution, unlike the various menus I posted screens of earlier. Here's some quick screencaps from KOTOR 2 playing in widescreen 1920x1080 for me, the same resolution that KOTOR 1 is playing at. As you can see, the menus and UI of things like the inventory/character screen for this game scale up to fill the screen unlike KOTOR 1.
