  1. I mentioned something somewhat similar to this once before. I'll repeat what I said and then I'll add comments I received offline about it.

     

    Another suggestion:

    When the Exile talks to Atton when he's in the Ebon Hawk ****pit - many times the point of view is of seeing just seeing him hunched over the console and not facing the the Exile. This also means he's not facing us. Well, it's already been established in K1 that other camera angles can be arranged to do better than that . . . witness the following picture from KotOR1.

    I'm not implying that every conversation with Atton in the ****pit should use this angle. In fact, when he's being evasive in his answers or down right hostile to you, it might even be preferable for him to give the Exile (and therefore, you along with him/her) the "cold shoulder." Hiowever, seeing his face and emotional responses in the early scenes where you're just getting to know him might be beneficial to connecting better with the character."

     

    As for the new camera angle when talking to Atton - again, I have to say no. One reason is that you can talk to Atton in basically every location in the game. That could break some stuff if he had special camera angle that works only for the Ebon Hawk.

    Of course, it could be scripted to use one angle on EH, rather than anywhere else... but is it worth it? No, not really - in my opinion, anyway.

     

    Yeah, the camera angle change would screw up a lot of things in the game, come to think of it.

     

    Perhaps the same problems that applied to my request might apply to yours?


  2. We've all heard the arguments against Disciple here and a great many other forums. The discussions tend to go along the same lines: he's a Jedi Fan-boy, he's an incompetent Republic spy, that he's so bland that Atton appears edgy next to him, the "love story" seems to present him as a simpering tool, etc.

     

    If you had the opportunity to reshape the character to make him more likable, how would you go about it? I'd like to hear what you all have to say.


  3. The hopes are slim, but I can't find it in the list on page 1, so I dare to ask, whether Darth Shan's "Droid Planet Mod" (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Droid_Planet_Mod;84922) might work, as DStoney's M4-78 doesn't.

     

    ?dit: Uuuhm, never mind, as far as I'm reading through other threads, M4-78 is part of TSLRCM, right? Sorry 'bout that!

     

    Apparently you missed the very first post in the thread.

     

    M4-78 is not part of TSLRCM - not in any version.

     

    Several items such as the cut GenoHaradan quest, Disciple's Holocron quest, and M4-78 have many files but not enough content. Attempting to put them in without creating some new material to make it work brings those quests out of the realm of restoration (TSLRCM's goal) but into another area entirely. Some folks are willing to put up with fan created material in order to see these files in the game. (I should know - I'm the voice of M4-78 in Darth Stoney's version of the mod, for crying out loud.)

     

    These sort of things will be released here (and probably elsewhere to boot) as unofficial add-ons. As many of the folks developing these side projects are members here, you'll find that once finished many of them will be compatible with M4-78. Stoney's current version of M4-78 is not compatible but there was always plans to expand it anyway. Zbyl has taken over the duties of the expansion of the M4-78 (called the M4-78 Enhancement Project) and hopefully will make announcements soon on what he has in store for us.

     

    As for Darth Shan's version, I don't know how nice it plays with others. As I stick with Stoney's version, I don't know that much about it. However some quick research brings up the following:

     

    As for conflicting mods: Handmaiden for Females and Coruscant are incompatible, you may get a fix from the Coruscant mod forum.

     

    As we all know from reading the first post , Handmaiden for Females doesn't work with TSLRCM so that's not a reason not to download the mod. However, you'll miss out on using Deathdisco's Coruscant mod which is rather popular. Those that have attempted to play through with Darth Shan's version are invited to comment here but only on compatibility issues. (I don't want this thread being highjacked by M4-78 discussions nor turning the thread into a flame war.)


  4. I was looking for a mod that was compatible with TSLRCM version 1.5, and want to know if its compatible with this release. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but it gives Bao-Dur items when he becomes a jedi. If anyone could help me, it would be much appreciated.

     

    You need to find the name of the mod AND provide a working download link to it for it to be reviewed.


  5. As I was making a correction to the French translation, I noticed this :

     

     

    But she will need warriors, Sith and Jedi, any who can be sent after her into the depths of space, for any who know the way.

     

    I do not know if it is in the English audio files but it is, surely, a mistake.

     

    Unless . . . the comment "for any who know the way" refers to the enemy that is headed towards Republic space from "out there." In that case, the Jedi or Sith that followed Revan would be taking out the invaders that Revan is scouting against. It's just a theory . . .

    K1 Requests

    Seeing real Jedi in the tanks on the Star Forge - Ever notice they have this random Jedi model in the tanks on the Star Forge and he's so low-res too boot? I had an idea about that . . .

     

    TSL Requests

    The Fate of Colonel Tobin - How about seeing seeing his final fate? (This is of course assuming you didn't kill him yourself.) Complete with explanatory pictures!

     

    Improve the view outside Citadel Station's Windows = There are lots of low resolution bit out there. Click through to see examples I posted up over there.

     

    Cantina Musicians Take Requests - Pretty self explanatory. Have a chance for the musicians to play songs on the game soundtrack for you. This could also work for K1 as well.

     

    Quarren Model Skin Change - This was a request recently posted about over here.

     

    and as long as we're dreaming, the mod all KOTOR2 movie makers would love to have

     

    Add the Free Camera cheat to KOTOR2


  7. Can anyone post a list of mods that would be compatible with TSLRCM 1.7? I'm sure it would help a lot of people here.

     

    Expect a separate thread entitled "Mod Compatibility with TSLRCM 1.7" shortly. I imagine will report their own findings of what is and isn't compatible with 1.7 in there as time goes on.


  8. I'd love to see Zbyl's cutscene of the Malachor core sometimes too.

     

    He needs a particular sound effect that's only in that scene - and not available anywhere on the game discs - to make the scene the way he wants. He's working on getting that sound, I believe. (I've put him in touch with someone that may be able to help.)


  9. From what I've seen I don't think so. For some reason the corpses stay as they were before the tweak. Also this only happens when tslrcm is installed. I then reinstalled my game and installed only the peragus tweak, then reinstalled tslrcm and all the bodies save one disappeared. The corpse that stayed had the miners uniform and the vibrocutter.

     

    I believe VP is making a new one.

     

    My Peragus Tweak - I'm making dead miner placeables, which hopefully people will like. You know them gamers... so critical. ;)

  10. I originally picked up TFU for the Xbox360 which I never wound up playing. (What can I say? I'm not really a console person.) My wife picked up the "Ultimate Sith Edition" of the game for me last Christmas - it too has yet to opened and played. I'll have to get around to playing it eventually . . .

     

    I will say that I have heard some of the music in the game is excellent but certain pieces however are very repetitive. (The track "General Kota and the Control Room Duel" springs to mind in regards to the repetitive one.)


  11. How far off would you say the M4-78 mod is to being compatibie with TSLRCM? I have not played that one yet but am looking forward to it with TSLRCM.

     

    Zbyl - who is now in charge on the M4-78 Enhancement Project - will not be working on it until after the next version of TSLRCM is released. You'll have a wait on your hands.


  12. SH I use those mods each playthrough and I do not believe they adversely affect a game with the TSLRCM installed. The only issue I had was when the USM was thrown into the mix, but that aside I've had no problems whatsoever with TSLRCM and Shem's mods playing nice together

     

    Now that there's a new USM compatibility patch, do all the mods "play nice" together? (That is: the TSLRCM (1.6a or later), the USM, and Shem's mods mentioned above.)


  13. Since it was asked over at Lucas Forums, are the following mods compatible with 1.6 and for 1.7?

     

    Shem's Super Enhanced Mod (for both KOTOR &TSL)

     

    Shem's add on to the Super Enhanced Mod (for both KOTOR & TSL)

     

    The second mod is an update of the first mod. I've never used these but it's seems like some material is added in from the descriptions that makes it more than just a hardcore mod. Might any one have ttested one or both of these with TSLRCM? (If it is both mod with the TSLRCM, please specify that in your answer.)


  14. Well, I have a suggestion on one aspect of the game that I feel should be changed. The three Quarren that appear, all of whom work for the Exchange, have the exact same skin. It's really annoying having to talk to the exact same crime boss who you already killed over and over again. Maybe a small change, the colour of their outfit or something else, if possible?

     

    I like this idea but I don't think it falls under the area of restored content. That being said: if someone made a request for this at Lucas Forums and it was created, it would likely make it's way into my override folder.


  15. I don't know if this is possible, but . . . maybe the experience system could be turned off (or always give 0 experience) in the 'Revenge'-wing, so that the Exile does not gain levels anymore. I'm thinking about Kreia's line: "... and he/she shall be the weaker for it." Well, maybe you already found out a way to have that line make sense... ;)

     

    DH-010, I'm not home so I can't double check but I thought that line by Kreia about the Exile being "the weaker for it" was only supposed to trigger if the Exile tries to save the NPCs. Sounds like there's a bonus gained if he/she leaves his companions to their grisly fates. I picture a sound file that mixes their screams together.

     

    Perhaps I should seek therapy. LOL
