  1. Perhaps you'll try your hands at Twi'leks next? Although I've seen reskins both great and shoddy for Twi'leks, it's unfortunate that there's only one body model for each gender. (I don't count Mission as she's a unique character.) Even altering the lekku (head tails) might be great for a start but some alteration in the mesh around the face would be a welcome change!

(I bet that Redrob41 and Logan23 would like to see something like that for Revenge of Revan too!)

  2. Wow, this thread is still up? Neat. I had some spare time and thought I'd go through some of these.

How does Lt Grenn know you're a Jedi? Who told him? The HK who told Peragus you're a Jedi you scrap just before leaving there...so who told Grenn...?? When you are first arrested on Telos it's for Peragus exploding then after you're attacked by the bogus Batu Rem Grenn somehow knows you're a Jedi? And this is before the TSF completes its investigation plus at this time you haven't yet met Atris so she doesn't know you're back in known space so she couldn't have ratted you out and it's not like KOTOR I in which Bastila adds a mind-erased Revan to the passenger manifest-which leads me to...

Remember, the Exile's return has been posted mostly everywhere in the "coreward databases," according to HK-47. Though G0-T0 was looking for the Jedi, he was merely acting upon the information he had access to in those databases. Atris was the one that broadcast the information. One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over agin expecting a different result. She did it with releasing the Exile's "homecoming" information and also she tried it before - in order to draw out the enemy at Kattar. Since G0-T0 knew about the Exile's return, who's to say Green didn't have access to the same information? Then again, maybe Admiral Onasi just told him that the Exile is an Exiled Jedi - as they were working together as well.

You're simply on-board the Harbinger and headed for Telos to supposedly aid in the restoration effort--in typical SW fashion, the ship gets hijacked and attacked by the Sith...and...T3 and the Ebon Hawk just happen to be conveniently accessible...?? Oh kay...

T3-M4 was sent out by Bastila (or Carth) to find anyone that could help Revan. Who's to say that T3-M4 didn't seek out Kreia - his/her former master? T3-M4 obviously had the ship - the navicomputer can only be used by him, if you all recall.

Additionally, we do know pretty much every major figure (in the game) knows the Exile is coming back. Why wouldn't Kreia know too? Put T3-M4 searching for Kreia in the Ebon Hawk - and Kreia searching for the Exile using the information sent out by Atris and it isn't that much of a coincidence.

Right after telling you coincidence was on her side when she found you on the Harbinger, Kreia then says coincidences are rare...which is it...??

If you take what I said earlier as fact, that would Kreia lying.

HK-47 states he is built after the Mandalorian Wars bothers me. I remember in KOTOR that his final story (unlocked after repairing his memory core several times) pertained to him being sent into space to assassinate Mandalore who reprogrammed HK. But if he was constructed after the Mandalorian Wars, there wouldn't have been a Mandalore to assassinate.

That bothered me too. But there's very few continuity mistakes. I do recall one cut line saying Revan destroyed Telos even though it was well established the Malak did that in the first game. (I think the cut line was originally said by Kreia as I recall re-splicing it so she said Malak instead of Revan.)

Bao-Dur knows me. He tells me we were in the war together. Okay, I say, fair enough. Then he never talks to me again, never explains anything, never becomes a jedi, and just disappears from the story.

Perhaps a quote from Chris Avellone himself might explain that . . .

Bao-Dur . . . we just didn't have time to finish his thread' date=' but if I recall (it's been a while), he was supposed to die on the attack on Telos to help HK-47 get to the HK-50 factory and shut it down to save the planet.[/quote']

Those that love to push the line that LucasArts is evil because they didn't give Obisidian enough time . . . you're welcome.

Then I'm playing as remote, for no reason, and I'm like HUH!? Bao-Dur is talking about some thing called the Mass Shadow Generator, and I had NEVER heard of that before. He's asking me to prime it, I say, okay, whatever.

See previous answer. ;) Additionally, in his first conversations, he does say he doesn't want to talk about the war if you don't mind, which seems to suggest that at some point you'd likely be talking about it more in some detail. (Greater detail than what wound up in the game files anyway.)

Also, I always play as a male exile, so I don't really know a lot about Mical or anything, but he's a Republic spy, right? They never really DO anything about that, do they? Doesn't someone on the ship find out? Kreia, or Atton or someone? I don't remember. Then they just sorta let it slide.

I think I may had a thread about that somewhere . . . oh yes, here.

I also thought it was really lazy when I found Vash dead. I knew that must've been cut content before I even KNEW it actually was. Why just kill off a master? Time constraints? I guess so. Also, no need to knock Sion or anything, but I don't think he could've killed Vash that easily.

In Sion's defense, he can bring himself back from the dead over and over again, as long as you don't erode his will. Since they cut out M4-78 pretty early, it stands to reason her character was fully developed yet. (Hell, even M4-78 doesn't have any lines voiced or wirtten in the game.) Perhaps the game maker, didn't want to hear the voice actress do even more lines? Grey DeLisle also performed the voices for Brianna and the other Handmaidens. (Ok, for the last part - I kid, I kid.)

Also, as far as I know, Echani is first introduced in Kotor 2. Brianna and the sisters are Echani, and Atton has had Echani training. But what IS an Echani, exactly? Is it a race? A belief? I don't really remember them ever saying what the hell one was, I just remember Brianna saying she was one, that she was trained in the style, and that Atton was trained too.

Echani were also in KOTOR1. One is being hired by the Sith in a cantina on Manaan - the same cantina that the Selkath asks you to do a mission to find missing Selkath children. Echani is both a near-muahm species and their unarmed martial art. In this case: Wookieepedia is your friend.

  3. Something has been annoying me for ages: when I get into Atris' "academy" after you bump in to "The Last Handmaiden" and her sisters, they say you must hand over your weapons. When the dialogue ends, it said "stupid computer" but no one said that dialogue! It happens whenever I play without any mod at all - including TSLRCM. Can anybody help me to stop it from doing that because it is really annoying!

Let me see if I am understanding you correctly - are you asking for a fix for vanilla (i.e. unmodded) TSL? IIRC, that bug where problems occur at the point where you give Handmaiden and her sisters your weapons at the Secret Academy was pixed in TSLRCM. If this isn't the issue, perhaps you record a video so we can all see exactly what you are talking about. If you ARE using TSLRCM, could you confirm that it's 1.7.

  4. I am unfamiliar with a Force Power causing an issue in the HK Factory. I don't even know how one would trigger seeing as HK-47 doesn't have any Force Powers and he goes there alone. Could someone describe this bug in detail so I may be enlightened?

  5. As long as Achilles' mods are being mentioned, I thought I may as well mention this one too: Crippling Strike Mod

I'll quote his page for the description of what this mod is supposed to do:

One of the first bugs I noticed when when TSL came out was that Bao-Dur's tree of specialized unarmed feats was broken (Repulsor Strike, Electrical Strike, & Gravitonic Strike). Unfortunately, this wasn't fixed in the 1.0b patch, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Since Handmaiden's Echani Strike feats works, I decided to rename that feat tree to something neutral and give Bao-Dur access as well.

If I recall correctly, when I bugged the powers-that-be about this mod, I recall hearing that it wasn't compatible. (I'll adjust the main list to add this mod once I get this confirmed that it is incomaptible.) Player - as long as you're working on making old mods compatible with TSLRCM 1.7 (or higher), I hope you'll keep this one in mind too!

  6. Ah, right. I haven't actually tested it, I just assumed from "cut" being in the dialogue name.

    (From AEon's Advanced KotOR FAQ)

Can Yuthura Ban be turned to the Light Side?

    Quote:

Hint: You will need to gain her "friendship" for this to work!

    Map: Korriban, Sith Academy

When you join the Academy, Yuthura Ban will propose that you poison Master Uthar. You can learn much from her, among other things also about her past. If you have a high enough Persuasion skill (at least 15) you will even be able to win her friendship. When you then double-cross Master Uthar in the "Final Test" and side with Yuthura, beat Uthar, she will still turn on you, but when you beat her, you can *then* show mercy and turn her to the LS.

Tip: You will then have to fight the whole Academy! Much like you would have when killing both Uthar and Yuthura when playing DS.

and here are two YouTube videos uploaded by tehPrincessJ on this subject:

  7. I wonder if he stills work on Sleheyron though. He used to send an update every few day or so. Then he just decided to make a completely new area. Then he did the same again. Then pffft. No news...

He's still got his hands in last I heard. I think there's an issue with him needing a scripter. Logan23 (of Revenge of Revan) might be able to say more on the subject as he was assisting Disbeliever for a time.

  8. You failed SH? Or an announcement of future things to come?

The computer I was working on decided to make a lair out of me - by locking me out of it. (Yes, really.)

Next time, I'll post the explanation after I do it. LOL

    Anyway, back on topic . . .

  9. Ok I have a lot of mod ideas that I have been thinking of over the years. I’m not a modder so I need a modder to do these mods for me.

As this is clearly a request, I am merging this thread with the requests thread. Requests on Ben Darby's project should continue in PMs as to not clutter the main Requests thread.

  10. I would like to make a statement. If I am not mistaken there is a clash between 2 mods that are linked with TSL RCM 1.7. The first one is "TSLRCM 1.7 Unofficial Fix" by our very own Hassat Hunter. The second is Newbiemodder's latest jowel: Korriban Expansion. I tought you'd like to know.

I'm sure HH has already seen this but I emailed the info to Newbiemodder. Hopefully - between the two of them - there will be a suitable solution to the issue.

  11. I find the yellow letters easier to read than this dark blue.

Now continue on with your business 0_0.

But reading his yellow letters on a Blackberry - where the site has a white background which you cannot change is impossible to read. I guess StaticJoe's change to the default color is for the best.

  12. But I really would like a Bao-Dur explanation. Just something that shows us where he went, even if you find him dead on the Ebon Hawk after your meeting with the Jedi masters, or he helps HK make it to the factory--anything! :w00t:

You and everyone else. Although much has been made of the "make my sacrifice matter" line by Bao-Dur, it wasn't included in the regular game. It was only available as a production sample of the voice-overs on the original KOTOR2 site.

  13. As brilliant as the game is with this mod installed, there are so many other small mods that while adding to the game are rendered incompatible by this one. Is there any chance of say, zbyls Admiral Onasi mod, or the Nar Shadaa skybox mod finding their way into this? After all, they are all within canon and can be considered cut content by virtue of lack of time to implement them. For me and all the techno illiterates out there, is there any chance of these mods being implemented in v 1.8?

Oh boy. Let's tackle the Skybox mod first.

    1) The Realistic Nar Shaddaa Skybox by Sharen Thrawn is not cut content. It is NEW content created by Sharen Thrawn, not by Obsidian and not by the makers of TSLRCM. Sharen Thrawn has not given permission for anyone to include it in their mods and he hasn't been active in the modding scene for the longest time. As it's purely an aesthetic mod, it's up to the user to include it. (I personally do because it's such a well made mod.)

    2) This mod is so easy to install that even I can install it. Unzip the file. Put those TGA files in the sub folder called "Override" in your KOTOR2 game folder. That's it! The read me file included with the mods states as much as well.

    2) As far as I know, Zbyl never created a Admiral Onasi mod. Please provide a link to where this mod is so we may all see it. Unless you're talking about The Admiralty Mod by Kreia (AKA Jinger) - that's another story.
