It's too much of a difficulty spike for this fight, and it's a dice throw game, not a player skill type game.
4 stars for the mod author, the mod DOES work exactly as advertised for the lore and accuracy.
But gameplay wise with a full party, Zaalbar decked out, geared up and built for melee tanking, all of us stimmed up with every possible stim available stacked ontop of each other, +12 hit rate on stats, tricked out weapons for even more effects + damage, he STILL just melts the entire party single handedly like it's nothing. The fleabite mobs next to him barely count - again and again.
Force heal, med packs, grenades, hitting him left or right, healing, micromanaging - no dice. For one, the hits that do land barely take a bit of his health, and two, he takes out zalbaar in 3 hits WITH constant healing, then 2x, then another 2x for the rest.
From the pure math limits of the stats and actions you take, it's flat out impossible to finish without obscene overleveling/overskilling. So not exactly too much fun by the ~n-th attempt...
I completely read the title wrong, and *subconsciously labelled the folder in my mod pre-install prep folder wrong too The brain's a funny organ like that, when it misreads stuff for often used mundane terms
In case anyone is on this mod page in 2023, reading through the comments. I'm following Merek's tested moding guide including this mod and the guide is titled as 2023 verified, so this works with the current version of TSLRCM according to that guide.
I have no idea why this is one of several files on deadlystream that don't work. I've got an application labelled as INSTALL in the main folder next to tslpatchdata and OPTIONAL, that's blank and doesn't start. I redownloaded it with the antivirus turned off and it's the same thing. Whenever I double click on anything in the extracted folder, it says "the directory name is invalid".
Nevermind - seems like WinRar and 7zip are both taking turns with corrupting the files somehow in a way that I just can't figure it out. They extracted fine after 3 different tries and the tsl patcher executable and everything works. No idea what's causing it.
