sorry for the late response, dont have this on my phone but ill prob try another solution cause i followed the same steps on my own pc and it all came out clear, yet on my friends while i did only 1 thing different and my game was unmoded...worked fine... no it does not minimize, the screen is simply black and the initial trumpet from the opening screen plays, music wise, then all black, so the video is not loading cause when we click around or press escape, we jump into the Endar Spire being attacked, ill keep yall posted but really hope it wont come down to disabling the movies. And well i suppose to the link i posed on nexusmods, if those are pre rendered then yes, those.

Hello folks, trying to help a friend mod and play Kotor 1 and while i modded the game correctly, much easier than Kotor 2, i was following this video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SKMzwKE34E I followed everything to the letter but when we try and create a char and load in, the cutscenes wont show, the initial trumpet sounds off but then nothing, if we click around we jump to the game when the PC awakens, the monitor resolution is 1080p and i downloaded the remastered upscaled at 1080p from https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/1306?tab=description, i even tried setting v synch, soft shadows and frame buffer to Zero but nada...any help would be greatly appreciated

Per the title, im getting a crash after i had killed azkul and then talking to the administrator, i tried 2 of the options except the one about money but i get a crash, i tried disabling buffer but nada, granted i have a LOT of mods installed but i tried to make sure of their compatibility n if they were not included already... Never mind, i read somewhere that i had to exit steam completely and then start it up, suddenly worked, stupid buggy lovable game

Welp im at it again, just installed mods and made my character, at the point where i should decide where to do the T3 prologue or not, i can't see the dialogue options nor prior when the ship lady voice was talking, i could see the above dialogue to return here to end the prologue. I did use the option of wide screen for my resolution which is 1366x768 with the new exe and uniws video done by Xuul, just checked uniws again and the ini files and it shows my mentioned resolution...help

Yes it was only regular mods from deadly stream and nexusmods, i saw many times that steam workshop was a big no no. well then crap, i guess ill have to redo everything if the integrity check was a big fat doh man this sucks, don't wanna do peragus all over again... alas my stupidity brought this so thanks, is there any recommended mod list on here? since it was mentioned that some nexus mods were old/outdated compared to most of the ones being here.

Not really something game breaking but i fear for the future, i recently encountered on the telos station, when the sullustian alien is getting harassed by 2 thugs outside the cantina, the dude was shiny n chrome, i imagine its a texture bug that prob didn't work, so far its the only thing i encountered, anyone else encountered this? don't know what else im gonna find in the future but alas.. I tried my best reading thru all the mods and their requirements and what to possible install first and then have another override it and so, i recently encountered the swoop glitch where i was floating and could not get the speed boosts, i read that switching to compatibility mode service pack 3 would let me proceed and then switch it back, while i encountered an issue when trying to load my game after removing the comp mode, i had to turn off buffer in the ini and then i could load, i read that i should do an integrity check, it didn't fix it but it did correct about 83 things, i am concerned that i should not have done that, ( dont know if it does ) per it maybe removing mods or messing up something, can anyone confirm? So far i am able to load without issues n turned back the buffer. I love the first game and it was painless to mod and play but this one is a big oof to do so and would hate to re-mod everything. So far i didn't notice anything different with the integrity check, maybe some dudes face seemed off but idk. Any comment is appreciated, even by calling me noob :3

Thank you, i have a decent idea of what i am doing, just trying to make sure i don't get confused once more like with switching to the legacy version n not needing to do the manual changes, but i will ask around where appropriate then, thanks!

Actually one thing and i will follow the instractions ^^ but its actually regarding instractions, some mod descriptions from nexus mention to just drag n drop into the override while others mention the use of the patcher, would it be easier to just do em all via patcher?

I am fairly new, so no idea who this Sniggles is... buuuuut i meant towards knowing anything relative to modding kotor 2, kotor 1 was relatively easy but it seems that there are extra hoops to jump thru in order to get this game modded and working, if there is nothing then thanks for answering my original post.

So im about to start modding my KOTOR 2 and i keep reading about the fog glitch, i have the steam version and so far all i have done is set the beta legacy version which rolls me back to the prev patch, not aspyrs and so far i downloaded the dll for the fix so it can create the 2 shader folders, started the game, exited the game, went to shaders original and ( i havent installed any mods yet ) i see about 8 files, i keep seeing in videos and in the original step guide looking for " MOV result.color, r0 " but in my own files i don't see that exact alone text, i checked all the files and this is what it shows " MOV result.color.xyz, state.fog.color; " second file below it shows " MOV result.color, program.env[12].w; " and the 3rd also shows " MOV result.color, program.env[15].x; " there are more but none of them end with the r0 bit in any of the 8 files i should be editing...so what do i do?
