You might want to attach that here so we can see what was changed. What mod was it from?

Here it is, pretty sure it came from crashed republic ship on unknown world.  There is another file similar in that mod that is also in my override. I will attach it as well.

Well, removing broken script to fix things isn't similar with removing broken texture. It may cost you more trouble than what it is now -- perhaps not at the moment, but at later part of the game since they often flagging things that'll be required by future event.

If you don't mind can you attach the script here for any of us to inspect? So at least we know what it does that caused this trouble.

Yes, I would rather have it fixed than totally removed. Good to point out. I have uploaded it. There is another file similar in that mod that is also in my override. I will attach it as well. I believe it came from:

Looks like the module OnEnter (k_punk_41aa_en) spawns the party and a separate trigger OnEnter (k_punk_fincs_en) starts the cutscene. If the party is not present but the cutscene triggers then the problem is that the G_FinalChoice global is correct (i.e. > 0) but the UNK_PARTYSHOWDOWN global is already at 1 (i.e. the party should already have been spawned). Seems like the only way that should be possible is if the scene has already been completed and everyone warped back aboard the Hawk for take-off.

Load up a save at the top of the beach before you hit the cutscene trigger in KSE and check Globals -> Numerics for G_FinalChoice and UNK_PARTYSHOWDOWN and report what the values are.

Taking out  k_punk_41aa_en fixed it for now but I see what you are saying. With it out G_FinalChoice = 1 and UNK_PARTYSHOWDOWN = 1 thanks appreciate the help!

Quoting @DarthParametric's reply to your status-update that happened to be on-topic with this thread:

-- and it's likely be k_punk_41aa_en, but will wait for your confirmation on that as I think I know as well the mod that caused this.

For a start, remove the said NCS if you find one -- see how it goes.

Taking out k_punk_41aa_en indeed fixed the issue, awesome! Thanks! I appreciate it!

  3. Improved Sith Mask (K1 & K2)

I liked the style of the Original Sith Mask in KOTOR but it's resolution was so low. This is nothing too fancy, I just upscaled it and used some texture and color effects to make it look slightly better imo. My intention was to keep the vanilla feel of the Original Sith Mask but improve it.

This mod will work for both KOTOR & KOTOR 2 without needing to change the name of the file. It's really simple.

Installation: Drop the file into the override of either game.

Compatibility: It is compatible with anything that does not change the default sith mask. If you have a mod that changes the default sith mask, this mod will override it.

  4. I have spent an extremely long time compiling different mods together to make my Bastila look how I want her to look and I am very pleased with the results so I thought I'd make a quick tutorial of sorts on how to make your Bastila look like mine if you would like too.

It's not really a tutorial however, so much as a list of mods that I use.

    Models:

For the Head Model I use This Mod:

For the Body I use 'Bastila's Got Back': https://www.lonebullet.com/maps/download-bastila-got-back-knights-of-the-old-republic-map-level-free-52315.htm

    Skins:

with this mod of my own on top of it:

I use the blue eyes until after Malak tortures her then switch to the Sith Eyes.

    For Clothing:

    or

ONLY THE SKINS FROM THIS MOD but it isn't necessary

    Also:

with this on top of it:

    Extras:

  5. Darth Bastila Sith Eyes

Darth Bastila Sith Eyes Head Mod
    By Cytaris
Orignal Mod by Quanon and Dark Hope
    Orginal Eyes by Circa

This is a reskin of the head portion of this mod: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/978-bastila-shan-hd-by-quanon-and-dark-hopa/

All it does is take the HD skin and reskin the eyes to be sith eye's like Anakins from Revenge of the Sith.

I would recommend it be used on top of it.
SPOILERS: You could optionally wait to install it until Bastila is taken so that she will only have Sith Eye's as a Sith.

A reskin of Bastila's Head only. Dark Hope & Quanon made the original. Circa Made the original eyes, Bioware of course also deserves credit for the creation of the original skin. The Txi came from the original mod and was made by dark hope or quanon who have given me permission to use their work in this minor mod.
    Installation:
Put P_BastilaH04 & the txi file in override folder of KOTOR 1

  6. For an update I am now using a version that is (1024x1024). Idk why it didn't work the first time but it does now.

Here is a screenshot of the higher quality texture:

  7. I am still learning how to use this site properly, in fact I just learned how to enable cheats, use the save game editor and take screenshots a few days ago after years and years of playing this game. Here is the very first edit of a mod that I have ever done. Credit should be given to dark hope and Quanon for making the original mod in the first place, plus I have many other mods altering bastila's body and head model such as bastila'sgotback for the body and party model fixes and HD bastila for the head and the organa hair and so many others, all I did was edit the eye skin. Here is the completed work:

  8. Thanks for the info!

lol, I vaguely remember reading about GIMP doing things like that, I've only used Photoshop.
Try flipping the image vertically so that the eye is in the top left corner, save as tga and test again.

I got it! Results are amazing! Thanks for the help! Basically, the image was to big and I had to scale it down to 256x256

Here is a screenshot. First mod ever! Happy!

  9. Screenshot of the edit I am trying to get working currently on my bastila. When I try to put this in the game it shows up with her eye in the middle of her forehead and her teeth in the back of her head.  idk what the problem is. Help!

  10. Thanks so much for the tutorial! Going to attempt it, this will be the first mod I have ever attempted, as minor as it is. What you said is very helpful, I will follow your instructions and let you know how it went. II won't upload it unless I somehow can get approval from the original mod authors.

  11. Idea is for a mod that gives bastila Sith Eyes when she goes to the dark side, but with no other changes. Like no grey skin.

The skin I would prefer this to be made from is:

This is my favorite Bastila reskin and I am glad these talented authors made it!

I found a mod that does this but uses the vanilla skins so I am unsure how to combine them:

    https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic/file/bastila-s-sith-eyes-dark-side-transitions

This mod has cool sith eyes too, I just don't want the grey skin:

    https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic/file/dark-side-bastila-head-reskin-1

Basically I think having Dark Hope and Quanon's HD Bastila when bastila is lightside and a version of it with Sith eyes being the only change when she is turned to the darkside would be awesome and I wish I knew how to do it myself.

Hopefully I am allowed to make a post like this, if I'm breaking rules I will remove it.

    Thanks for reading.

As my mods, Kexikus' mod, and Vasilii Zaytsev's mod have been used thousands of times - and are indeed all included in the KotOR Subreddit's Mod Compilation list - and none of them have been reported with this issue, the issue becomes clear.  It has to be the KotOR 2 Unlimited World Texture Mod.  As that thing has thousands of files without appropriate TXIs, I'd suggest just completely uninstalling your copy of TSL making sure that your Override is completely clear before install anything again.  I can't recommend KotOR 2 Unlimited World Texture Mod, especially with the other issue that you reported to me via PM.  Avoid KotOR 2 Unlimited World Texture Mod like the plague.

If I had to hazard a guess, the offending mod probably has an issue with a bad alpha layer.

And please stop capitalizing "KotOR 2 Unlimited World Texture Mod" - it's like you're shouting it when we probably should be ignoring it.

Thanks for the info, I only capitalized it because I copied and pasted it from it's spot on nexus and that's how it is displayed but I see what you're saying and idea to avoid it, I'd agree. Also I will make sure not to capitalize it like that. You gotta be right, it's that mod giving me these problems because I had all the same mods installed before except that one with no problems.

    19 minutes ago, JCarter426 said:

This is typical of those texture upscale mods. I don't know about this one specifically, but others are known to be missing necessary TXI files as SH says, and/or have corrupted the alpha channels altogether, resulting in issues with any textures that require transparency or shaders.

In short, you can't hit a button that tells an AI to process thousands of files and expect it to work with no further meatbag effort. Yet.

Good to know. I'll avoid mods like that in the future.

  13. I hope this is the right section, if not please let me know & I will move it. I haven't used forums much yet. Never have made a post here and have only commented a few times.

Here's my problem, on the tutorial skybox when you are T3-M4 there is a black box around Peragus.

Mods I use that could be contributing to the problem are:

    TSL Backdrop Improvements 1.4 https://deadlystream.com/files/file/949-tsl-backdrop-improvements/

Improved Peragus Asteroid Fields by Vasilii Zaytsev https://deadlystream.com/files/file/321-improved-peragus-asteroid-fields/
Replacement Peragus II Artwork by Trench https://deadlystream.com/files/file/361-replacement-peragus-ii-artwork-by-trench/

Peragus Large Monitor Adjustment 1.0 https://deadlystream.com/files/file/317-peragus-large-monitor-adjustment/

KOTOR 2 UNLIMITED WORLD TEXTURE MOD https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor2/mods/1062

    I think that's it.

I'm leaning towards it possibly being the unlimited world texture mod conflicting with the other mods. I have been trying to fix it for days. I'm hoping someone can tell me what files I should take out to undo what I did to revert it to vanilla or preferably just get the mods back to being compatible with each other.

    Thanks!

  14. I would love to get a hold of the patches for wotor as I cannot find them anymore, only dead links. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure T7nowhere visits this site anymore but if he does if he could send me the files I could upload them so they could be available for all if that's alright. If anyone else has them I'd do about anything for them.

Wow I finally found them. http://www.jumpstationz.com/ModsArchive/T7nowhere/

  15. Hello, sorry this is so long after the post but if you are still around I am having the same issue as the person here was. I'm not particularly new to KOTOR mods but I'm struggling to figure out what you mean here as I'm kind of a noob at modding. I need to change my appearance.2da from default to baremetal like you said but I don't know how to edit it. Is this something you can only do with the KOTOR tool? I've not used it much.  I need to make my Darth Revans maskless robes not be transparent in the chest. Thanks!

After more research I think what I need to do is get the kotor tool, go to appearance.2da, change the envamp from default to baremetal, but that this may affect other things that are supposed to be transparent, which I don't want. Hopefully this is correct, I don't want to mess my game up. If you have time to respond am I on the right track?
