  1. High Quality Aliens: Rodians

I don't remember what happened (I'll deny any involvement) but at some point there's a corpse inside the Republic base on Manaan.
The Rodian model in this mod gets a new filename, but a simple change in placeables.2da fixes things for the sitting ones and with that the corpse (which uses the sitting placeable).

Thanks Effix, I'll include that in the next update!

Are they single full body models like the vanilla Rodians, or do they have provision for armour?

Full body, yeah. I'll soon publish .mdl files containing the head (including skin weights) as a modder's ressource if anyone wants to create a playable Rodian or whatever. The hands are separate meshes so it should be relatively easy to replace those on vanilla armour models.

Hey mate, thanks for the advice on that, I appreciate it. But I actually don't even know how to open the appearance.2da file. So I won't know how to do that.

    Not a problem.

    Spoiler

First, install KoTOR tool and open it up. Then:

I don't currently have TSL installed after having had to reset my PC recently, but it's the exact same process. Just make sure you follow the path to your TSL's Override folder in the 3rd step.

Then, as I said, scroll down to find the line that contains your custom head (it's likely the very last one), then scroll sideways to find columns "modelj" and "texj". In the corresponding cells of your custom head, add:

    if it's a male character:

    • "PMBJM" in the modelj column
    • "PMBJ" in the texj column

    if it's a female character:

    • "PFBJM" in the modelj column
    • "PFBJ" in the texj column

Save and replace the appearance.2da file in your Override folder and you're done.

One thing I noticed, the armour doesn't seem to work with custom modded heads. I'm using the K1 heads ported to TSL mod, and it doesn't work on any of those PC's. But works fine with companions.

Yes that’s to be expected. The outfit is assigned to column J in the appearance.2da file. I added it to all vanilla playable heads and companions, but as you can imagine, I can’t implement the outfit for custom appearances a priori.

However, you can perform that edit yourself, it’s as simple as filling in a cell in a spreadsheet.

Open your appearance.2da file from your Override folder using KoTOR Tool, navigate to the line that contains your custom head, then scroll to the right until you reach column J. Simply add the name of my model to both cells (model and texture), for that you may just copy the name I used in the default appearances. Save the file and you’re done. This can be done for any custom head. Just mind the gender as the female and male models have slightly different names.

I absolutely love this mod. I've been using it all throughout my latest playthrough. It really suits the Exile.

I have noticed one bug, though. I'm not sure if it's just me, but when I go to train Bao Dur, during the training animation sequence, the game will crash if the exile is wearing this outfit. If I take it off right before I go to train him though, it won't crash. It appears to have something to do with the outfit change that happens during that sequence. That's the only instance I've found, and I've been consistently wearing it throughout my entire playthrough. It could also be my mod collection causing problems. Someone else will need to confirm. But other than that, it works perfectly.

Thank you for all your work on this. It came out looking fantastic in-game and I love wearing it. It feels like you added something that should have been there all along.

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you enjoy the mod.

I just tried training Bao-Dur while wearing those robes myself. My game didn't crash but my character was became invisible during the cutscene. I'll try to investigate what causes this when I have some time. Meanwhile, I'll update the description and list this as a known issue.
