Darth Revan Visor Fix
-ABOUT-
So this is something that's bothered me for years. Basically, the UV mapping around Revan's mask is a smidge wonky. The indentation on the mask's mesh indicates the visor part of the texture was meant to line up in it. But for whatever reason, no one decided to correct it during development. The only times I've seen this fixed were in the fan film "Knights and The Darkness Part II" and the mod "Brotherhood of Shadows." So I decided to just go ahead and make a dedicated reskin just to correct this little nitpick. Hope you chuckleheads get some mileage out of it 😆
-INSTALLATION-
Simply copy/paste the texture files into your Override folder located in your "swkotor" directory.
-UNINSTALLATION-
Simply locate and remove the files. Go ahead. Do it. I dare you.
-COMPATIBILITY-
This reskin is not compatible with any mod/texture pack that alters:

Darth Aang - The Last Jawbender
-ABOUT-
Basically, I saw this one joke years back about Malak actually being a Sith version of Aang from The Last Airbender. Now that I have some rudimentary skill in editing textures, I've finally made it a reality. Enjoy.
-INSTALLATION-
Simply copy/paste the texture files into your Override folder located in your "swkotor" directory.
-UNINSTALLATION-
Simply locate and remove the files. It's as easy as one, two... erm... um... damn it, this is what I get for being a Valve fan ._.

Either it's cancelled, or they removed to make way for a more polished version.
It wasn't perfect, (hell it was damn-near unplayable in some areas) but it'd still be a major shame if it was cancelled, as there are still a lot of things I liked about it 😕-

Judging by the lack of updates for the past 3 years, I can only assume this project's dead?
If so, that's a mighty shame. The models you managed to finish still look top-notch to this day. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to follow this project in it's prime.

So I downloaded Kotor Tool a while back for a personal modelling project of mine back in November 2021. It worked marvelously for KOTOR 1, but I could never get it to detect KOTOR 2 for whatever reason. Now I'm starting a new project, and I actually need to extract assets from KOTOR 2 this time.
I made sure the path was set to the proper directory, I went into RegEdit to fiddle with the string values, as suggested by High5 in this old thread:
But it still doesn't detect it.
To clarify, I own the Steam Versions of both games and I'm running on the 64 Bits version of Windows 10. If you need any other info, or if you have any suggestions, please let me know. I'll gladly take any help I can get.

I've been considering getting the GOG version of both KOTOR games, but I already own them on Steam. From what I've heard, both versions have pros and cons, but I'd like to hear your guys' opinions on the matter.
So which version is superior: GOG or Steam?

Was it Obsidian's idea to recycle Peragus's plot of every living person on the planet dying or was it the mod team's idea? If it was the latter, what changes would you make to have the M4-78 plot stand out a bit more?

I think if you REALLY want this mod to stand out, make it restricted to certain characters For KOTOR 1, how about restricting it to the PC and Canderous only since they've fought in the Mandalorian Wars (if restricting items to certain characters is a thing in K1 anyway) and for TSL, restrict it to Mira and Mandalore since they're both Mandalorian and the PC doesn't have as much experience with Mandalorian fighting as K1's PC (and the TSL PC is buffed enough). You don't HAVE to do it this way, of course. It's just my silly personal opinion! <P

I REALLY don't see how Disney's ruined Star Wars. Okay, de-canon-izing almost 40 YEARS of content was quite questionable, but when I watch the new Star Wars movies in the cinema, I don't see a corporate monster milking every penny out of a franchise. I see people who genuinely care about a movie series they grew up with and try to maturely bring proper closure to the characters we grew up with. Rian Johnson gets far too much hate just because he did something no one expected.

It's a sad thing that we will never get a kotor 3 after the creation of the old republic. I found just two informations about how kotor 3 would be. The first was about the character Naresha that at least had a lightsaber. The second was that it would finally reveal the true sith that should have been descendents of Naga Sadow. Other things I can only guess, like since T3 and HK-47 appear in both games, maybe they would be back again, maybe Canderous too.
Also, I just dont think that we would have Revan and/or the Exile, a new protagonist would be made and we would only see what happened to the two close to the end of the game.
Apart from this, I created lots of theories, and a particular friend of mine imagined not only a kotor 3 but a 0, 4 and 5.
That's one of the many reasons I'm bitter towards Knights of The Eternal Cash Cow, despite the bland companions, the completely contradictory options to make Dark Side players nice and Light Side players cruel, the immense lack of immersion, the hideous graphics that make the original two games look like Triple A titles in comparison, the atrocious FPS, the needlessly complex combat system, the horrid, forced (no pun intended) and stupidly executed endings to some of the greatest Star Wars characters of all time and lesbians... okay so maybe it has ONE thing going for it.
But if there HAD to be a KOTOR 3, it'd have to be through the eyes of, like you said, a new protagonist. Suddenly jumping right back into the eyes of Revan or Meetra (The Exile) would seem a bit forced (I don't mean for this, I swear) and unoriginal. It would also be a good opportunity to add to the roster of the best Star Wars protagonists and open the doors to some excellent story telling and gameplay ideas. Returning characters like HK, T3 and Canderous are a given, but not without some new companions to tag along for the grand adventure ahead.
I'd see the tone of the game to be a mix of the gritty, realistic atmosphere of KOTOR 2 as the galaxy and Republic would still be rebuilding from the wars prior and the cinematic and grand feel of the original KOTOR with the return of special in-game cutscene animations (wow I actually miss those quite a bit) and some better music that makes the galaxy pop to life. With the whole Disney canon wipe calamity, leaving the atrocious EA money milk ending on the cold, smelly cutting room floor where it belongs should be easy enough. It would not only do justice to the characters we know and love, but also close some arcs left open like a rotting wound (looking at you, Revan x Bastila subplot. AND DON'T YOU GO ANYWHERE, EXILE'S FRIENDS REBUILDING THE JEDI ORDER! HEY HEY, YOU STAY RIGHT THERE, MR REBUILDING THE MANDALO-okay you get the point). But we'll never see this as EA (short for Eejit Asshats) owns Bioware which owns the rights to KOTOR. But even if Disney cuts ties with EA, they'd still keep the rights of the game in their grubby little hands because reasons.
WOW that went on way longer than I expected. Well, I suppose if we REALLY want a KOTOR 3 story, I don't think The KOTOR Trilogy Team will let us down

That was a good review!
I think he could have bothered to mention the mods that he used and acknowledged that mods existed to improve the graphic quality. Even the description doesn't give any credit to the modder's who made the mods seen in the video.
At 39 minutes, he incorrectly state that Revan reveal scene was on Korriban, when it was clearly on Lehon (Unknown World) due to the Rakata Statues seen behind Revan.
Other than those two points, his video was well put together.
