Thanks. Using your recommendation here made everything look much better. I didn't know what was causing the problem. And, since you've got the motherboard for it and if you have an adequate CPU heatsink, you should try your hand at overclocking that i7 930. I have mine at 4114MHz (4 cores turbo)/4301MHz (single core turbo) with my uncore at 3740MHz and I've had it at these settings for years, now. The difference is very noticeable, especially if you have an SSD.

^If that's the only problem you're having with that mod, consider yourself lucky. 1) Did you apply the 1.0b patch before installing TSLRCM? 2) If you did patch the game, then are you using a no-CD crack for whatever reason?

Yes it is. The crack you're talking about (the one that comes with the Squizzy patcher) may be marked as version 2.1, but it isn't version 2.1. It contains none of the fixes of the real file version 2.1. For example, swoop racing is still broken. This is why I stopped recommending it. And I know all about that thread at LF. I posted in it several times. You can get the game to run in widescreen (1280x768) just by changing the values in the swkotor2.ini file. I explained how earlier in this thread. Your monitor or GPU can scale it up from there. Not perfect, but better than nothing.

As I have said TWICE in this thread now, there is no crack for KotOR 2 that has been properly patched to 1.0b. If you use the Squizzy resolution patcher, you're playing an unpatched game.

You must be using a crack, then. I've already explained that there are no cracks for KotOR 2 that have been properly patched to 1.0b. UniWS will locate my non-cracked 1.0b swkotor2.exe, but it won't let me patch it. I can't even enter the width and height values.

If you installed the USM with all of its dialog files and scripts, that's exactly what it will do. That's what everyone is trying to tell you.

Don't get me wrong; I think it'd be very cool if you could get it to work, or at least most of it. The above scenario just struck me as funny.

UniWS does not work with a fully patched game.

I just change the width and height values to 1280 and 768 under BOTH Display Options and Graphics Options, then save and exit, and it works every time. Actually, I don't think that changing the values under Display Options makes a difference, though.

There is no proper crack of 1.0b in existence, so you end up trading the fixes for widescreen. That's why I went back to playing it in 4:3. TSL supports 1280x768 with a .ini hack, but I prefer native resolution to ugly scaling.

There have been numerous warnings about this mod and its incompatibility with TSLRCM. What I did was just delete all of the dialog and script files and cheat the sabers in.

No, simple portrait replacement shouldn't be causing what you're experiencing. I honestly don't know what's causing your problem. It could very well be a corrupted save.

It's likely Stevedroid's mini-map fix, which is just a file that goes in the override folder. There's no way to fix the HUD itself. Keep in mind that any widescreen mods for patched TSL are only possible with a crack, and there is no crack available that is truly patched to 1.0b, so there go any fixes to the .exe file that the patch introduced, which is why I went back to playing TSL in 4:3. I recommend that everyone else do the same.

After all the flak that TSLRCM received over at Wookieepedia it's pretty gratifying to get some official recognition, isn't it?

Just like how the game engine limits you to 5 attacks per round, even if more are possible (ex. dual-wield + flurry + master speed + juyo), it also limits how much of a defense bonus you can get via spells. Like HH said; it's not "broken" at all.
