  1. That's what happens when you mod the game too much. I could probably name off between 50 and 100 scripting functions right now. We all remember some random bits and pieces of KotOR. I still remember the templateresref for the Boma because of some scripting experience I had back in November of last year. I spent a few days trying to make a custom function work, and I was using the Boma("c_boma01") as a test subject...

Everyone has an instinct or something they can easily remember off of the top of our heads, thats just how our brains work.

  2. Here is my own quote... "You cannot have happiness without sadness, you cannot have courage without fear, you cannot have anger without peace, you cannot have life without death, you cannot have good without evil, just as you cannot have war without man. -TheDarkChocolateJedi

  3. “Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.” -Voltaire

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" -Evelyn Beatrice Hall

Really I could go on forever on a thread like this but I will end with something more amusing.

"Give a man a fire, and he's warm for a night. Set him on fire, and he's warm for the rest on his life." -Terry Pratchett

Lol good one, i like those quotes.

  4. lets just agree to dis-agree man... I want meant to insult anyone with that quote

No offense meant by it, you believe what you want to believe I believe what I want period. Not much else to it, my apologies if I offended you, and you did not offend me so no worries man.

  5. "Man makes religion, religion does not make man... Man is the world of men, the State and society. This State, this society, produces religion... The struggle against religion is therefore indirectly a struggle against the world whose spiritual aroma is religion."

"Religious suffering is at the same time an expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the sentiment of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people." - MARX

    Good quotes!

  6. We had a discussion about this four years ago:

    http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/1033-revisioning-atris-role/

Here is the mod that allows Atris to be a party member though it is unfinished:

    http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/576-unfinished-recruit-master-atris/

Yeah but that mod was pure Bantha poodoo so... Why not make a good one, i think after I finish my mod I may or may not attempt a master atris mod.

  7. So it's clear that restoring the clear idea that Atris was meant to be a party member is a lost cause due to no VO lines, but what about the model of Atris as the second Darth Traya? Are there plans to reincorporate that in any way? I don't see why she can't be given that model for when you return to Telos to fight her. Perhaps depending on the level of influence you have with Kreia?

well you could manipulate previous atris lines and combine certain syllables to make it so she says different words? Or get a professional voice actor, i always thought atris was cute in an odd way, so a romance would be quite ideal as would companionship. Perhaps her and Kreia switch places, and if you think that is unrealistic, I think we all know kotor is famous for PLOT TWIST!!!

  8. This is a long one, but so damn awesome in context:

"If there is anything I have learned in my travels across the Planes, it is that many things may change the nature of a man. Whether regret, or love, or revenge or fear - whatever you believe can change the nature of a man, can. I've seen belief move cities, make men stave off death, and turn an evil hag's heart half-circle. This entire Fortress has been constructed from belief. Belief damned a woman, whose heart clung to the hope that another loved her when he did not. Once, it made a man seek immortality and achieve it. And it has made a posturing spirit think it is something more than a part of me."

That was quite amazing, wish I had more like that :)

  9. My favorite TV quote is from Theodor Bagwell from Prison Break:

The scene is about finding the buried money, where T-Bag says to Michael (who has a plan for everything):

"And how you gonna find it? What, you got a divining rod tatooed on your ass?

(und wie willst du den Schatz finden? Hast du dir etwa eine Wünschelrute auf den Arsch tätowiert?)

I watched it in German, and it was just so unexpected and hilarious!

Who on earth names themselves "T-Bag" But that is hilarious, good quote man.

  10. Here you can post your favorite quote from a video game, movie, book, or in real life, or even your own quote, and you are not limited to one, quote away! Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. -Mark Twain. All wars are civil wars because all men are brothers -Abraham Lincoln. So long as there are men there will be war -Albert Einstein.

  11. Blasphemy as if Kyle would let the Sith do anything like that.

Blasphemy only Kyle Katarn can lock a Kyle Katarn facts thread.

What if I was kyle Katarn! Dun dun dun! What an epic twist, almost as epic as the thing about your character being revan, oh wait that twist was crap, I discovered it early on because of jedi masters... Well... This is awkward now... I think I'll be leaving...

  12. Well in theory you could do that because everything the player can do or wear, enemies can do or wear as well, so perhaps but I haven't started modding kotor2 yet just kotor1, so I couldn't tell you if I wanted to. And also the level scaling was bad in kotor2 you typically could only get to level 28 or 30 or at the most 37 legitly before you have to use cheats, so someone needs to make a mod where there is more of the kotor base game so that way you can level up more.

  13. Not hating them won't make 'em better.

Personally I thought the prequels were very good, they may not have that nostalgic feeling when you watch them but I still love the prequels, more jedi more sith. Just a slightly better written story and it was far less predictable than the original trilogy was (no I am not the first original trilogy hater) I am not implying I hate the originals cause i don't they are one of the reasons I am into Star Wars. Also my opinion is not biased because I saw the prequels first if thats what you are thinking, I saw the originals first and i just like the prequels better, i do not see why people must hate on them, they made more money than the originals and more toys and lightsabers ect... Were bought because of the prequels not the originals, and no prequels means no kotor as well as no Star Wars battlefront 1 or 2 (insert meme here)

  14. Is that real dialogue from the game? Never heard that before.

Yes it is but when you are fighting sion as atton (in TSLRCM) you have to lose in order for this dialogue to appear. And you said you knew the game inside and out :D

How would I go about activating the Exile/Atton romance? I've seen it online but couldn't find a way to play it during my first Female/Lightside campaign.

It is a subtle romance until the end of the game, but you must be very kind or very harsh in order for atton to like you, never ever in the middle. And don't have a strong relationship with Mical if you are trying the atton romance. Oh and what is your favorit romance?

Is that real dialogue from the game? Never heard that before.

what is your favorite romance? No passing to until you say so, this is a favorite romance forum post after all!

  15. This forum post is as the name says, you say your favorite romance from the kotor games, and give a somewhat detailed reason why it is your favorite. My personal favorite is handmaiden from kotor2, because honestly it is a subtle romance type thing where both of you know you love eachother and yet you haven't really directly said "I love you" you just know you love eachother and that is enough.

  16. Welcome to deadly stream! This is a great site with a lot of great people and a lot of great fun! And when I am old enough to go to college I believe I want to get a degree in game design as well :) What gaming company do you plan on trying to work for, when you're finished I mean.
