About This File

This mod allows you to train Visas Marr in a prestige class, just like the Exile receives one during their journey.
To offer her a prestige class, the following conditions must be met:

  • Visas must be level 15 or higher.
  • Your character must have a very high (≥75) or very low (≤25) alignment.
  • You must have high Influence with Visas (≥75).
  • Your character must have already chosen a prestige class.
  • You must be aboard the Ebon Hawk.

Once these conditions are met, a new dialogue option will appear, letting you recite Kreia's teachings (with a nod to your own class) to guide Visas toward one of the six prestige classes, based on your alignment.
Like your training under Kreia, you can steer her toward the light or dark—but note that Visas will refuse a class opposed to your alignment (Jedi for Dark Side, Sith for Light Side).

Alternatively, you can let her find her own path—but this will permanently lock the training option.

TSLRCM is required.

This is an excellent idea, and one I've wanted for a long time. However, it could- and should- be expanded. To each of the other trainable party members. Kriea can be left alone due to her backstory, but Atton, Handmaiden, Disciple, Bao-Dur, and Mira should all be able to get the chance. The level requirement in a Jedi class doesn't need to be changed, though if you want the opportunity to do them all in one save, it's probably necessary (even if you start off your first world on Nar Shaddaa for some reason, then go to Dantooine), at which point they could probably have the requirement taken down to 10-7 levels. Getting all the needed levels may be easier with an XP system alteration or throwing in the Droid Planet or some other extra content to fill it out.

Atton and Mira would likely gravitate toward Watchmen, Bao-Dur and Handmaiden toward Battlemaster, and Disciple toward Master. Thematically, this idea would also work with Visas starting as a Sith Assassin.

I'm glad you liked it!

I would've liked to implement that as well, however kotor's engine doesn't seem to support multi-classing into third class (as far as I've tried to make Atton go Scoundrel → Sentinel → Watchman, it never worked). The only workaround would be granting them prestige classes after their base non-Jedi class, which feels like an odd progression to me. Visas at least is an already accomplished Force-user.
And we actually do have a mod like that on Gamefront - SS Prestige Padawans.

I can understand the hesitation of making them go from Non Jedi to Prestige Class, then again; Visas never felt like someone who should have been a Sentinel in the first place (if anything a Dark Sentinel).  She’s introduced as an Sith Assassin yet her class isn’t made as such despite actually being one and the class actually existing.

Maybe for the companions that aren’t Jedi, make it where they need to be a higher level before giving them the Prestige Class. For them, I’d say they need to be at least Level 18-20 (definitely something they shouldn’t get in early levels for sure). Someone that strong along with their years of experience could handle the training needed to become as powerful as a Weapons Master (Handmaiden & Bao-Dur) or a Watchman (Atton & Mira for sure) or even a Master in The Disciples case.

Even their Dark Side Prestige Classes work well for them. Atton actually has some experience as an assassin and a corrupted Mira would be a perfect one as well.  Handmaiden and Bao corrupted would be ultra angry edge lords that would perfectly fit in the role of Sith Marauders.  As for The Disciple…it’s funny how his Dark Side form looks so much like Palpatine to the point where making him a Sith Lord feels almost too fitting. If I recall, his Dark Side ending is very similar to that of his as well. A Corrupt politician.

Heck, if we really wanted to include some anomalies somehow like Mandalore (more hesitant & am more inclined to just say train him to wield a Saber) & Hanharr (less hesitant as a Sith Marauder perfectly fits him) they would be perfect Sith Marauders.

It’s funny how the prestige’s would be a perfect combination of their initial skills along with the powers of the Jedi.  Even The Disciple (who fits the role of Councilor) also works as a Master given their strong ties to the Force and strong desire to seek knowledge and understanding for the betterment of the many, much like the great Masters of the Force.

You have lots of valid points, but it's still more story vs. gameplay. Visas really is a Sith Assassin in all but name, just because every Force user is bound to have "Jedi" classes. The game would really benefit from having alignment-neutral base class names.

It becomes more of a problem along the way. I still do not understand the original vision of making well-known titles like "Sith Lord" and "Jedi Master" into their own classes. Imagine a scene with the Disciple where you agree to teach him the ways of the Force, and a minute later you go "Poof, you're a Jedi Master now, have fun with your deep understanding of the Force my dude." Other classes don’t suffer from this, but having a base Force class still feels like a necessary step before prestige level. That being said, if the game allowed assigning a third class to a creature/NPC, it would’ve been an outstanding way to show character growth. Still not possible, though.

As for other cases, I'm pretty sure there are already mods that let Mandalore wield a lightsaber and Hanharr become a Sith (I just really don’t want to steal someone’s original idea). Visas as a Sith Assassin is definitely here too! Same with the prestige classes for other companions.
