N-DReW25 1,336 Posted August 1, 2019 Alright, so I recently bought a new PC and I installed Kotor 1 from Steam first, then Kotor Tool and then Kotor 2. As to be expected, doing it in that specific order was a poor idea as now when I try to get Kotor Tool to detect Kotor 2 it gives me an error which reads: Now I've had made threads regarding the registry before but this was for Kotor 1, the registry for that game was this quote I believe. Quote Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BioWare\SW\KOTOR] "Path"="X:\\YOUR_DIR\\HERE" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts\KotOR2] "Path"="X:\\YOUR_DIR\\HERE" With my directory being "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II" what would I replace "KOTOR" with? DeadMan 103 Posted August 1, 2019 You should be able to manually set path in KT. File - > Manage paths.
Ashton Scorpius 111 Posted August 1, 2019 Just got a new PC too and had to add K2 to the registry. This is what worked for me. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LucasArts\KotOR2] "Path"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Knights of the Old Republic II"
