So this happened

I quick saved on Telos before the Czerka merc boss fight and this happened. The most interesting thing of note is the "Kill Everything" blaster pistol Arren Kae has. In the message history it calculates as normal but it's an instant kill when it hits, which is always. Anyone know anything about this?

 

Last screenshot is my character for reference. The save with the weird character eventually let me back to my normal character and I could progress further. Now whenever I reload that specific save it shows Arren, so this screenshot is from inside the facility in the locker room where the shuttle is.

 

I just noticed the broken message on the party select screen!

Are you fooling around with KSE?  I am willing to guess yes as your "Arren Kae" has changed gender from one screenshot to the next. That might have something to do with it.  Also, the Killblaster is an item I don't think you can get in the game without cheating it in.

If I recall correctly this was a debug character used by Obsidian.

If your running through steam disabling cloud saves should fix it.

Also I've heard deleting the "futuregame" folder in the K2 Directory solves it

Just make sure to load a previous save after disabling cloud saves

ahh the wonders of messing around to hard with kotor 2 and the end result is the game breaking which births the message "I am so broken so very very broken"

I also have the Jedi Temple on Coruscant mod and the Dustil resto mod. I think the reason for the weird saves is because of this.

I do use steam cloud.

In your main K2 folder are up to three folders: "gameinprogress", "futuregame", and "currentgame". Delete all three with the game not running. Then run the game. Not saying it'll fix the bugged save, though.
