No voice sounds

I am not sure if this is the right place, but I'll just say it here.

 

After installing TSLRCM I started KOTOR II.

The launcher was changed and I started to play the game.

But as I came to Kreia on Peragus II for the first time, there was no voice sound.

Any known solution to this problem? I restarted the game but it didn't work.

So please answer those questions. Once you did so, we'll hopefully be able to help you.

1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur?

- during the beginning of the game where you talk with Kreia for the first time on peragus II
2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.5 and 1.2 respectively) We only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods.

- I only installed 1.8.5
3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?

- 4 CD,  I guess all regions because I can't find it anywhere. but I live in the Netherlands and bought it in the Netherlands.
4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY)

- after re-installing the game I didn't click on update. though the game said it was version 2.0 or something like that.
5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?

- I performed a fresh installation
6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.)

- I do not have any mods installed
7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?]

- the moment I got the torch from the dead body in the med bay on Peragus II at the beginning of the game after the prologue there is this cutscene with Kreia. When she was talking there wasn't a voice. 
8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?

- No I have not
9) Have you tried using a different save game?

- No I have not
10) Have you tried starting a new game?

- yes
11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

- Windows 10 (what do you mean with Virtual Machines?)
12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?

- Yes
13) What language is your game set for?

- English
14) Which language of TSLRCM are you using?

- English
15) Are you playing this on a laptop or a desktop computer?

- Desktop computer

Do you have no voice lines at all or are only some missing?

 

And are you sure that your game is set to English? I'm only asking because I know that the German 4CD version doesn't support any other languages except for German and I assumed this to be the same for other non-English versions as well. Is your version localized at all or is it English audio and text?

 

Usually the English version is not compatible with other language versions of the game and vice versa so for a version bought in the Netherlands I would've assumed that to be the case. However, since you state that your game is in English I'm a little confused. Maybe the version from the Netherlands is in English but doesn't have the cut content restored by TSLRCM so those voice lines are missing. But then the vanilla lines should be there.

 

In any case, it's most likely an issue with your non English-version of the game. I suggest you get the game on gog.com during a sale. It's usually only 2,50€ and you'll get a version that works properly on new PCs and has multiple languages to choose from.

I was able to hear T7 during the prologue.

And my game is already set on english when I install the game.

But I will keep my eyes open for gog.com

Try and continue playing a bit just to check if you van hear other human voices.

As I play on I have come across another problem. But I first want to solve this one.

As I walked into the cutscene with Atton there was also no voice with his lines.

And later on when you contact T3 for the first time, there was also no beeping from his dialogue

Let's determine which non-US version you have before we go further. Send a message through this site and see if they can determine which one you have. Once you have that information, please let us know. I would highly suggest sending the questions and answers that you've listed above in your discussion with them.

After re-installing the game, I didn't click on update. though the game said it was version 2.0 or something like that.

 

To quote the read-me that accompanied TSLRCM:

After re-installing, it's advised to apply the official patch (1.0b). Non-US versions require you to install 1.0a first, then 1.0b, US versions can install 1.0b right away. Make sure to apply the patch that fits your version. Also, after installing 1.8.5, the official patch can no longer be installed!

You might want to check here for non-US install instructions. (Go straight to step 7, ignoring all other steps.)
