Also you will need the Ultimate Sound Mod for this to work properly. Make sure that is installed first before you install this mod and let the baseitems.2da file from this mod overwrite the one from the Ultimate Sound Mod. If you're not interested in that mod, you will still need to download it and get the cb_ls_powerup.wav, cb_ls_powerup1.wav, cb_ls_powerup2.wav, cb_ls_powerdown.wav, cb_ls_powerdown1.wav, and cb_ls_powerdown2.wav files. That way the double-bladed and short lightsabers make a on/off sound.

This mod, including the Ultimate Sound mod, do not work anymore.

 

It crashed the game as soon as you load a save game, or start a new game.

I think it's because of the new update that came out for Kotor 2 a couple of months ago i think?

 

the game no longer uses baseitems.2da and I think that's what messes it up.

 

I dont know if it works or not for kotor1, but it definitely does not work for TSL.

 

Which saddens me, because I used to LOVE this mod.

 

Just wanted to let the mod creator know it doesnt work anymore.

I'm the moderator who got Shem's mods up here.

 

Due to the edits from Malkior's addon and me making the mod use TSLPatcher, I split the mod (and the Ultimate Sound Mod) into separate versions for both games.

 

If you'll check the top of this, you'll see a thing about "K1R Comp vatible: Yes". You've download the K1 version of both of these mods...

 

As to the crashing thing, if you're using the Steam version with the new update and you're using Workshop mods, the game gets unstable with five or more Workshop mods installed...

 

I hope to get the rest of Shem's mods up soon, but I should be able to get all but the K2 version of this particular mod (SEM) up relatively quickly...

It doesn't work with K2 completely and make game crashing. In K1 lightsabers are not affected. Lightsabers files of previous version seem to solved this problem.

 

For now, unfortenetely, there is more trouble than pleasure of installing this mod :( Too bad. It was a great mod.

The changes were carried over from the files, so they should be good unless you installed another mod that edited/replaced the lightsabers afterwards.

 

And this is a K1 version of the mod, not K2. That's probably why it's in the K1 section of the mods...

Well, in download page K2 changes are included. But I figured that it's for Kotor 1, I'm just saying. In K1 mod is not working properly, as I said before, there is no effect for lightsabers. That's all I found, not sure if smth else can be wrong. Older version works normally if installed before all other mods.

 

Is there any chance to see this mod working with K2?

Then can you tell me what effects aren't being applied and send me files from after the installation? And you do realize that the changes won't be applied unless you re-obtain the items or re-apply the upgrades, right?

Well, for now, as I said, I only found problem with lightsabers. (I'm talking about KotOR 1 now, of course.) Lightsabers have normal, default damage. I'll see if all blasters are OK, but at the beginning of the game Trask's blaster has increased damage so I guess blasters are OK. Maybe there is problem only with lightsabers? If I find something more, I will let you know.
