Can't play as T3-M4

Hi,

I'm posting this here since you're an active community that knows alot about KotOR2.

I've read elsewhere about T3-M4 that is not joining you at a certain point in the story line, but I'm still in the Prologue. So far, every character I create starts the prologue alive, on their feet and I can move it around. Doesn't matter which one I make, it always does it. I'm never able to start the game as the droid.
The only way I can get the droid when I start the game, is by renaming the override folder, and creating a new -empty- one.

Would I be able to start a new game, without anything in the override folder, close the game, revert to the steam-version override and load back? Does anyone know if I'll meet any issue down the storyline?
Is this bug known?

I'm running the steam version of the game, without the HD resolutions fixes.
Windows 7 64b.

Maybe it's me... but... I fail to understand what the issue is?

In the prologue of KOTOR 2, you play as T3-M4.

When I make a new game, I start the prologue as my character.

The only time it doesn't produce this, is when the override folder is empty.

 

Can I start without any mods or patches and apply them afterwards?
