  1. Dear Deadlystream comunity, I've been reviewing my personnal repositories on github recently and thought you would appreciate me putting in public my KotOR Savegame Editor repository: https://github.com/nadrino/kotor-savegame-editor. This version has been "forked" from the latest release of @Fair Strides (Deadlystream link). I quote "forked" as the source code had not properly been released on a dedicated git repository, so the original perl code was extracted directly from the archive. I remember having a couple of discussions with Fair Strides, but I never really had time to do a public release. This version adds a couple of very useful features that weren't present in the origianl KSE code: - Adding screenshot display when selecting a savegame // muuuch easier to find the save you're looking for! - Ability to change the player position: X, Y, Z // YES it is possible! Altough you need to put coordinates that are valid (see blue areas with Kotor Toolset maps) - Ability to read and modify the doors on the maps - Ability to read and modify the inventory of the placeables - Ability to read and modify the inventory of the stores - Adding Creatures section under Area - Adding full support for ASPYR kotor versions (linux/macos) - Adding compatibily with compressed ASPYR save files (Nintendo Switch version) // those file are actually just simply compressed - A couple of bug fixes and optimizations while reading/writing your savegame files Hope you will enjoy this fresh version of the good old KSE 😄 EDIT: For everybody to get access to this version, one of the staff member could create a dedicated dowload page for it 😊 Cheers, Nadrino
  2. I'm having trouble getting KSE (3.3.7) to work, and I was wondering if anyone can help. First, do you actually need KOTOR (for PC) installed in order for KSE to work? It wouldn't seem like you would, since you're just editing the save files, but I haven't been able to find an answer to this question. I have KOTOR on Android (as well as for Xbox, although that's likely irrelevant), and am trying to edit the Android saves (which I've read that you can do with KSE), but I don't have KOTOR for PC. When I first started trying to use KSE (after having trouble figuring out how to use KPF), I was getting an error saying "No save games to edit! Termination." This continued even after manually changing kse.ini such that the path for K1 was the KOTOR folder I created (with a nested "saves" folder in it with my Android saves). After I also switched the K1_Installed value in kse.ini to 1, I no longer get the above error (and the log says that it found the saves directory). Instead, there's a brief error message in the command window before the program closes. I took a screenshot while it was displayed, and it says "Can't call method "get_resource" on an undefined value at script/kse_337.pl line 5672." Does anyone know what the problem might be/if there's a workaround? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I used to mod KotOR years ago... Now I've just gotten this game again on steam and want to do some modddzzz but seriously have no clue how to even start. I don't remember the first thing about it anymore. If I could hire someone to come over and just do it for me, I would! haha! If anyone would be so kind/patient as to help me! I'm most interested in KSE. When I download it, and open it up...it's just a bunch of nonsense. I open it in wordpad or adobe reader and it's a bunch of 0's and letters. Is there something I need to download first before I do KSE? I'm literally at step one here with little to no knowledge on mods. I don't know how I did this all myself years ago! Thanks to anyone who is able to help!
  4. Hello guys. I'm working on a 3.3.7 version of KSE to fix the fiasco that resulted from 3.3.6... :| I have a test version ready, but I would like testers who can volunteer some time to help me make sure the thing works. I have been aided greatly be Chev Chelios with his KPF (KotOR Pathfinder) and testing KSE, but he has Win10 x64 systems and VMs, the latter of which could be the reason why KSE will work just fine on my system but not on his when I'm running Win7 x64 and he's running a VM for Win7 x64... So, I ask anybody that has WinXP, Win7, Win7 x64, Win8, Win 8.1 or whatever other version you have, and either 4CD, GOG (should be the same as 4CD), Collections, or Steam versions of the game to please consider helping me out with this. I appreciate all of your help.
  5. Hey guys! In today's video, I'll be showing all of you Mac players out there (woot woot!) on how to get the KSE to work on a Mac. It's somewhat simple, depending if you know how to use Wineskin Winery or not. Anyways, stay tuned for the special message at the end of the video, since I forgot something important! Everything is explained in this video with step by step instructions:
