  1. Okay this is just weird. I reached the bit in Peragus where you only play with r2d2. Ranged combat worked fine for him, didn't get locked up after combat. I figured at that point for sure it was an animation issue, because he uses a different animation and all. So then I return to Surik. To be sure, I equip the blaster again and see if I can get her to lock up again. It suddenly it doesn't happen anymore. I went through a bunch of combat encounters with the blaster only and I didn't get locked up a single time. What the hell. So, I guess either using the vibro sword for just a bit OR playing the bit with the droid made the issue go away? Damn. There's no guarantee it won't happen again I guess. I'll let you guys know if my little exile gets stuck again. There's got to be some sensibility to this.
  2. Ok, here's a clue maybe. It doesn't really seem to happen with melee weapons. Just blasters. Maybe it's an animation issue? Were they modified in some way? I hadn't noticed because I was going to take lightsaber finesse. So I upped DEX and intended to play with blasters until my first light sabre. I hope this will help somehow, I really would like this to be sorted out.
  3. Yeah, I know. Although that's more of an annoying bypass than a real fix. Hope it can be fixed soon, my vacation time is almost over.
  4. I switched from 144 mhz back to 60 mhz on a hunch and past experience with weird framerate bugs, but it also did not have any effect. I am out of ideas.
  5. I set the application to run in Administrator mode and XP compatibility mode, but it didn't help. Also, 1) When did the problem begin to occur? Straight away. 2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? Via Steam Workshop, so yes. 3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? Steam. 4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? Steam is the answer here. 5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? Nope. Fresh install, first time on a new PC. 6) Did you use the TSLPatcher, if provided? Used Steam Workshop, didn't see the need to as I only use one mod. 7) Were there any errors in the TSLPatcher installation? Nope. 8) What other mods did you have installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.) None. 9) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? Like OP, straight after a combat sequence. 10) Have you tried re-downloading the mod? ... It's not been the '90s for some time now, so IPv6 should do its job. Also, Steam Workshop will have secured a nice stable download for me. I'm not going to explore this route. 11) Have you tried using a different save game? Yes. 12) Have you tried starting a new game? Yes.
  6. I have the same issue and it happens after every fight. Fresh installation on Windows 10. Installed via Steam together with TSLRCM (workshop). No other mods installed. VSync is off. Saving and reloading helps, but I'm at Peragus and there's a lot of battles left to fight on my own before I pick up a team member to try switching. Any tips would be welcome.
  7. Ah, I had hoped this would have been released by now, but I guess you guys earned well deserved a break. If this community has taught me anything, it is to wait and be quiet.
  8. If it's anything like D&D at all, which it should, wearing heavy armor shouldn't affect ranged attack rolls at all, or your reflex saves. You can still be a sniper and wear heavy armor.
  9. I'm curious if there's any lasting impact on denying Kreia's tutelage in the beginning (aside from not getting her feats). Has anyone tried this? I mean the whole game sort of sets you up as her pupil.. you not wanting to follow her lessons should have a pretty big impact on that.

  11. I can understand the reasoning behind it, it's just looks odd regardless. What are they doing, why are they there? Shouldn't Nihilus be the one to have a little apathetic platoon around him? Being the boss and all. No, they'd just die from being near him, I guess. Never mind.
  12. I don't like that the other guys are just standing around him while he gets choked, unfazed. Maybe they should back up a bit. Or maybe he's chocking all them them, and he's the only one that survives because of his dinner invitation.

  15. I think bead-v can do you one better and give you the entire cutscene in not too long. All I did was edit the music track to add two effects. I don't think there will be much left for me to do on it, so if I can help out elsewhere.. I'd like to.
  16. It looks like the Kreia cutscene will be finished with only minimal editing on my part. Very nicely done, bead-v! Is there anything else that I can help with? Any cutscenes or scripted events that need sound?
  17. I'm sorry for overreacting. I had a particularly bad week because of some real live issues. Contributing to TLRCRM kept me distracted/happy for a while, but then I got that comment and it felt like I hit that brick wall again. I've moved on. I'm helping with bead-v's approach to the cutscene now.
  18. It's not enough for you that I do this out of my own free time and initiative, you wish to decide where it is spend as well? I'm sorry, but I'm just ever so slightly stunned at such impeccable selfishness.

  20. Just wanted to point out that mp3's will introduce noticeable quality loss if after my editing pass they are re-encoded again. It might be best if you use bink tools to extract .wavs instead.
  21. Have you seen the changelog? It's huge. Also, I'm not part of any programming team, so really nobody is wasting any time on this. I'm just a sound editor.
  22. Hm. Well either way I can recreate one if it is needed. Same goes for Sion. Easily. It needs that swell in volume on the music side of it as well though. Get me the track of music you planned on including in the sequence, and I'll add the missing effects to it. Edit: Actually, I need to make sure we're talking about the same thing (if you can send me the stretch of music you need, let me know the exact timing where it starts). Wow, very nicely spotted! It's barely audible, but it sounds a little like a very light airy/windy version of Force Valor. I think I can recreate it.
  23. I'd need to know if they would need a small sample that can be looped like normal walking sounds, or a larger one that matches the entire scene. The latter could take a while to make. Also, it brings up another point I've thought about before: is Nihilus walking sound in-game? I made my own version of his 'heavy-boots' walking sound, for the short sequence where he walks over the camera and you hear his cape flapping. Hadn't noticed it until now. It's sounds like a gong with some kind of wavey pass over it. But the music also sounds a little louder during it, so it would probably have to be added to the music track itself. Which time, after the force push or after Sion strangles her?
