But I think it would be something pretty cool and unique to the mod itself. Especially with all the space available in it right now. Not trying to say that what you're making needs it. Honestly, the idea you have and how you're presenting it is really good and I can't wait to see the finished project. The idea of having a quest that serves a reward like that in KOTOR has been something that popped into my thoughts for a little while and I figured I'd share it with you while you're in the process of fleshing it out. Maybe you've already had the idea anyway and are already working on it haha

    Thank you! Edge Of Darkness has a lot of content yet to be put in. Ideas, plans that have yet to be fleshed out. In the beginning, I knew I wanted to do most of it myself, so I created a framework of accomplished features to kind of support future work. That's why ideas exist symbolically a lot, but as written in-game, not so much. But your question about future side quests and stuff, I want to start work on it immediately. I've worked on other games here and there but Edge Of Darkness is the only mod I made that I feel comfortable working on for a long long time. It has loads of avenues for new content, and really its limitless.

    I have stashed a lot of work for future content into the game already. There's a hologram of the mission control officer, for instance, that needs to be fully implemented but the lines and VOs are done.

     

    An oldschool item-as-reward quest is a superb idea and thanks for suggesting it! I'll need all the ideas I can get so yeah, side-quests and environment interactive expansion is all on the way hopefully. :)

    Well, the development is ongoing and I've decided to expand every planet. That being said, this version has the final planets and story. Expansion with dialog and more characters, will happen over time.

    Also, I noticed one thing that seemed a little weird. When talking to Yimille, her voice lines seem to change from alien language to english. I only noticed this when talking with her on the Ebon Hawk. I haven't tried to talk with her outside of that

    Great! I'm glad you're optimistic about this mod :)Yes, she's bilingual and it is a WIP to convert lines to English, I appreciate you noticing that. She has more bilingual lines outside the hawk too. 

    The mod is set-up complete, but not all the way finished growing. Without spoiling it too much, there are ending planets after the open world part of the story. Aeon and Yimille talk all about the point of the game, so ask them about objective questions.

    Remember the goal of the open world section is to collect the Dark Force Codex tablets. The central computer of the Hawk has verbal info on each planet, in English.

    Edit: I get that the entire description says 2. But the holopatcher defaulted to 1.

    Edit 3: So, it claims it was installed. But I didn't see it installing.

    If you're having trouble with Holopatcher, Edge Of Darkness is only for TSL. It may take a while to install, and the green status bar will show completion. Depending on your PC, it can take up to 30 minutes to install.

    Holopatcher will detect K1, but don't use Edge on K1 it will not work.

    If you can't get Holopatcher to function, copy the following folders from the archive TSLpatchdata, (including the dialog.tlk file in the install folder) to Knights Of the Old Republic II folder in Steam directory or Disc

    • StreamVoice
    • StreamMusic
    • Launcher
    • Movies
    • Modules
    • Install/dialog.TLK
    • Override
    • Lips

    That will manually install the mod. Please remember that the DIALOG.TLK file from tslpatchdata/install folder MUST GO in Knights Of The Old Republic II directory if you're installing it this way.

    It is a full game story already. Totally Vanilla / freshly downloaded Steam is required for installation! It might be best to clone a vanilla directory to swap between TSL and Edge.

    Thank you for your report. Try this new changes.ini for LegacyPC. Put in tslpatchdata and run the installer, etc. I may have missed some syntax with the new build in LegacyPC's changes.ini

    Well, not exactly. The characters stay in their force-alignment (DS/LS) and there is limited DS/'LS points in Ebon Hawk party dialog.

    • RIght now I've got everything the way it's supposed to be, but journal entries are not entirely done.
    • Planets are fully done but need more journal entries.
    • Workbench and Crafting system is fully done.
    • Some LS/DS points with Kharaelle, Yimille, and Rogue Zero exist.
    • The game is playable to completion. The game ends on Yavin IV and Manaan.
    • There may be subtle glitches once and a while, but I've got it where I want it nonetheless.
    • The arc of the story can be completed.
    • Be sure to visit planet Blenjeel before going to planet Chaehroth.

    Maybe in a future update? The Star Wars games were IMO a bit too prude, even the kiss with Bastila was given a fade to black and the girls in KOTR2 mostly keep their feelings hidden as if embarassed by them.

    Yes, absolutely on the table and going to be considered, and sure Yimille is absolutely loaded with romantic epithets, and it plays out significantly in the story. I won't spoil anything.

    As far as standing inside or hugging characters, it's possible through using appearance.2da data

    Yimille is interested in the player, regardless of gender or alignment.

    A disclaimer: this is generally considered a foundation build, something that can be grown out exponentially. In motion, as a movie, or considered events with real people, the story has all the telling of a book or bonafide KOTOR chapter. In this skeletal form, the entirety of an explorable and fractally expandable 14 planets. The levels are brief, but each could be considered a two hour planet in the raw, in Override, as assets. I am a one- man team with advisors and shadow contributors. I also advise and help other modders. So, the YImille romance was the first thing done for Edge Of Darkness, and it was my condition for making the game under other guidelines. It had to be there.

     Now, fast foward to the present, YImille changes the player's perspective: in reality, she controls your identity. In-game, otherwise, one way, or the other.

     

    The ending is inevitable in Edge.

    She is corrupting you, but do not expect this to be fast/slow/what you want.

    No sex or kissing.

    Quests are really not there in Edge. Every planet has a quest. The Ebon Hawk's computer has a quest that is concluded by Octavion. 

    On Zeltros, Kharaelle and her husband are both Chiss, like Grand Admiral Thrawn's species.

    You can hug, kiss, or stand inside Kharaelle at all times.

    Kharaelle teaches Shi'cho outside of the Ebon Hawk if I recall correctly.

    Yes. The romance with Yimille, the yellow twi'lek companion, is encouraged and possible. Also you can hug Kharaellle on the Ebon Hawk, no other KOTOR character can. Outside the Hawk, Kharaelle has alternate dialog options. She is recruited upon completing Zeltros. In the future I'll add more quests, expand on old quests, and add LS/DS. For the time being, it is all in the dialog and how you read the dialog. You'll be able to get an idea for what's going on if you understand the character IS somebody with free will in the game that you're directing and under the guise of.

    In lieu of other options, there is in fact a secret alternative party member included in the build. Please follow this next direction carefully: To Access the secret companion, Do Not Talk to "Aeon" the albino character aboard the Ebon Hawk. Go to Raxus Prime, and complete the planet. The secret character will be added upon completion of the quest. You can talk to Aeon after that.

    I did't install the patch for loot and inmersion upgrade, could it be because of that?

    I think it's "giveitem a_robe_26" (Darth Malak's Robe)  or in the loot-immersion patch "giveitem deluxe".

    If I'm wrong, forgive me, it's been a while.

    I removed some of the files I suspect were causing your problem. Unfortunately, I cannot work on Loot-Immersion Upgrade as much as I would prefer to, but this new build may solve your issue. If it doesn't please let me know, and thank you for reporting this issue to me. I would love it if it worked perfectly, but it is not quite there yet. :)

    Try deleting "corpse.utp" from override.

    If you get the glitch again, post a screenshot here of the contents of the glitched placeable, and I'll track down where its coming from.

I keep having the Medical Supplies Cylinder in the beginning of the game load in with Revan's Robes inside, then having it clone itself in various other sections of the game where it only contains a medpac and the robes.     I am running other mods, but I have no idea what would be causing this if there is a conflict. 

    I don't know offhand, but I inspected the UTP Placables in Loot and Immersion Upgrade.

    ^ These won't interfere with your glitched placeable, but I don't know, it might be a replaced .UTI file that somehow appears elsewhere.

     

    If you have specific details about where else the placeable appeared, when it first appeared, where it was appropriately displayed vs. where it was displayed as a glitch, PM me the deets and I'll continue to do research about what exactly is happening there.

    It might be TSLRCM affecting the model variation. Let me know which robe you're trying to replace, the Jedi Robes or the Jal Shey robes, and I'll see about getting a fix.

    Also, post a screenshot or send me a screenshot in a PM. that'll let me know what's happening and I can hopefully fix it. :)

    It looks like in this case your female is using the male texture, which isn't supposed to be like that. I need to do some more research and redownload the mod to see, so it will take me a little while.

    I'll figure out precisely what's happening and get back to you soon.

     

    Edit: I'll update the mod but if the glitch continues, the glitch possibly means that another mod changed your appearance.2da. You will have to reset the appearance.2da file to default settings.

    TSLRCM could also potentially have done this, although it definitely looks like it's an appearance.2da issue not related directly to the mod, just what it replaces (the Jedi/Padawan robe model).

    I have updated the mod and my new version was working fine. My idea about your glitch there is that a mod changed appearance.2da somehow to look for the male skin instead of the female on the 'I Class' Jedi robe model. How that happened though, I don't know. Possibly another appearance mod that you uninstalled?

    Yes, it does replace Darth Malak's armor. It's 4th from left of screenshot, the red and black tunic.

     

    Edit: Just for clarification, the replacement for Darth Malak's Armor is only in the archives that replace the JS/ZS Jedi Armors.
