  1. I like how Hope depicts the badass trooper who bumrushes his way through a bunch of Sith Warriors to tackle on the Sith Lord, and when the Sith Lord finally manages to subdue him with a surge of Force Lightning, what does the trooper do? he pulls a knife on the Lord and attacks anyways
  2. Nope, you get a character who has the best of both worlds. High Consular DC + Weapon Master Feats and combat capabilities? hell yes. The only disadvantage lies in your relative lack of supplemental skills (though you still get enough points to max out repair/computer), but that's what party members are for
  3. Darth Vader: Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father. Luke Skywalker: He told me enough! He told me you killed him! Darth Vader: No, I am your father. Luke Skywalker: No... that's not true! That's impossible! Darth Vader: Search your feelings. You know it to be true. Luke Skywalker: NOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOO!
  4. "The Force works in mysterious ways, it seems. There are times I'm not convinced it doesn't have a sense of humor" -Master Hasselhoff in Onderon, KotOR2
  5. Curious, I've never played the Jedi Master/Sith Lord paths. What are their advantages? can a Guardian turned Sith Lord reliably land Force Insanity/Lightning and bypass enemy saves like a Consular?
  6. Yes, but playing a saintly glowing paragon of light who fries the space out of his/her oponents with agony beams of dark energy doesn't seem particularly fitting thematicly

    Guild

I'd join that if the game allows Sith character archetypes to join up with Jedi and other republic aligned classes
  8. What are some of your favorite character builds to play in KotOR2? Mine would have to be a Male Grey Consular/WeaponMaster with Double-Bladed Lightsaber and Flurry. You have the +DC boost as a Consular which helps you land Stasis/Insanity to lock down your enemies and then Force Storm/Scream them to death. You also have solid survivability and lightsaber combat abilities as a Weapon Master, which gives you pretty good balance and make you a very powerful character. Very little things are more satisfying than Force-Frying a swarm of gand in the Jekk-Jekk Tarr, or an entire squad of soldiers in Onderon. The starting Attributes I use for this build are 14 Str, 10 Dex, 14 Con, 12 Int, 14 Wis, 14 Cha. High Str helps me use the combat method that's prefered by the game's natural progression (unarmed combat) in the early levels, low Dex since I don't use ranged weapons on the exile and Defense won't matter much later on since most enemies will be locked down and unable to attack anyways. So, what are some of your favorite character builds?
  9. The advantage of playing a Grey Jedi is that you can use both light and dark force powers, which grants you a ridiculously overpowered advantage in versatility

    Requests

Request: would it be possible to mod KotOR1 robes to looks more like KotOR2 robes? or if it has already been done, where would I find it?
  11. Well to paraphrase Bao-Dur ingame: That lightsaber isn't yours anymore, that lightsaber belonged to the person you used to be.
  12. I got my lightsaber from Atris in the endgame act after I killed her and looted it from her dead cold hands On an unrelated note, I usually play a 'grey' Jedi Exile (a la Bindo in K1) and Atris had it coming
  13. Awesome Staley head. I'll check back when you've finished Weiland's and Cornell's heads
  14. I for one can't wait for TOR. I'm currently playing another MMO, but if the game proves to be really good (I have faith in Bioware) then I'd be willing to give up my current MMO for SW:TOR
