  1. Welcome to Deadly Stream Kate and I too would like to say I love the user name. I think you will love TSLRCM it makes the game so much better to play, it tells a more complete story.

  2. Nate Silver predicted that the 2001 election would go to Bush. When Gore won the popular vote, Florida, horrified, quickly shuffled some votes around to bring the results into line with Nate Silver.

Don't you mean the 2000 election

  3. I'm sure it seems that way (don't make enough) but no, I just hate Obama's policies and his healthcare plan.

Stoney are you saying republicans make alot of money? LOL. I think Stoney is a Libertarian. There are really good parts of the affordable care act, like the insurance companies not being able to cancel you for having a pre-existing condition, children being able to be on their parents health insurance til they are 26. Do you agree with his ending of D.A.D.T.? Ordering the DEA to not touch the states that have medical marijuana laws? Ending the war in Iraq? Setting the 2014 date for withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan? Osama bin Laden dead. General Motors and Chrystler alive, even thou it was started by Bush. Pay equality for women? Here is an article for you to read about economic issues from a man that is an economist from Japan and an expert on what went wrong with how Japan handled the financial collapse they had in 1997, My link, it does a good job of explaining things better than the president can.

  4. Boilpoint: That was why I said try, I know most of our elected officials can't be classified as grownups.

Kerk: True capitalism isn't too bad, it's the perversion of it that has corrupted the US. Oh ya government alone can't do everything, we do need the private sector. We just don't need these giant multi-national corporations that are too big too fail. Any company that is too big to fail is too big to exist, like most of the banks here.

  5. Who cares about what Obama will do! I'm more interested in the fact that Stoney is a republican

Since I'm an immigrant here in the US I still struggle to understand why republicans are always so ticked up by what democrats do. And not the other way around. Not to count democratic popular TV shows made and lead by clowns like Bill Maher or that idiotic "Family Guy" cartoon, but seriously, I don't see democrats running around and screaming that their opponents are evil incarnates, minions of Satan. Only republicans do that. So...what gives, people?

Democrats try to be grownups. It's harder to get elected when you are for giving more and more of the wealth to the rich so they need to use scare tactics. I personally am not a democrat or a republican, I am a social democrat, no I didn't say socialist even thou I have socialist ideals too. I see the world thru the eyes of the working poor of this country, which I have been a member of for most of my life.

  6. This I thoroughly agree with :P . I wish we could get rid of all of them but where in the world could we find a non-corrupt politician? :hot:

Non-corrupt politician, lol that is an oxymoron. We don't need politicians, we just need people with good commonsense in office that can actually get us back on track & make tough decisions.

  7. Um, could actually care less about vacation days... But how many terms are you counting?

I also see other articles that back up what Stoney is saying on Bush's number (no clue which is right):

    http://www.factcheck.org/2010/01/president-obamas-vacation-days/

Edit: Seems like each of these articles manipulate the time frames which are compared. Bleh, stupid argument anyhow.

"But at least two recent presidents — by Knoller’s count — took less "vacation" time during their first year than President Obama — Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton." Key phrase in the whole article.

Edit: I agree with your edit

  8. Nope ! Bush 70 something Obama 92 and the winner is Obama!!!!

I am sorry Stoney I do have to disagree with you on this one here is a story from cbs news comparing how Obama compares on vacation days it's from 2011

    clicky

and a quote from salon.com from April 2012 "A direct comparison places Obama squarely on middle ground of presidential vacation days used. Of the past five presidents, during their first year in office, only two, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton took less time off than Obama. Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush and his son all spent much more time away from the White House than the current occupant. Obama's retreat to Martha's Vinyard in August 2011 sparked a particularly high number of criticisms, however at that point in his presidency he had only taken a total of 61 days off. Compared to that same time in office Ronald Reagan had spent 112 days on vacation and George W Bush had been away for a total of 180 days. Bill Clinton, at 28 days, had the least time off of recent presidents. Reagan held the total vacation day record of 436 until the younger Bush left office with a grand total of 977 days away from Washington, representing 1/3 of his presidency." article can be found here clicky

    - Continuing the War on Drugs.

Yeah he's horrible on civil liberties but on everything else he's actually been pretty good honestly.

Actually he signed an executive order in 2010 ordering the DEA to stop going after people in states that have legalized marijuana for medical use. The DEA tried to get the DOJ to stop Oregon, Washington state, and Colorado from giving the people of those states the vote on the legalization of pot in their states and Eric Holder ignored the request.

  9. Stoney I agree with some of what you say, I will be 38 in December so I remember Reagan, but it is on all the people that were/are in office. The regular people in this country have gotten less and less of the wealth of this great nation of ours. Take a look at the income disparity that has taken place since the 1960's. Hell just since I started working when I was 16 the minimum wage has gone up what about 2 bucks in 22 years. Minimum wage hasn't even kept paced with inflation let alone C.O.L.(that's cost of living to those that don't know). Personally I think we should get rid of them all and start out fresh with the rich not being able to hold office or influence policy. We should have the ability to have recall elections on all federal office holders too not just state office holders. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against some of the rich they do do good things with their money but they are few. We have become a nation that is of, by and for the rich. What ever happened to of, by and for the people?

  10. I noticed there is an unused source script in USM that checks your inventory to see if you have any of USM's crystals (c_have_usmsbr.nss). Possible issue? real_dj_not_tar_com.nss unused also? only 2 scripts that I can't decompile are a_sion_cut and a_sion_cut2
