  1. This is where I learned how to do it: http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/1626-transparent-character-issues-look-here/?hl=transparent

Anyways, in this video I review the 2012 texture improvement mods for Kotor 1 by XediiXarwarz. But the main reason why I made this post is because some people aren't good at following picture and text instructions. So I made a video of how to do it step by step. :) Skip to 3:00 if you want to know how to fix the issue:

  2. I like simple fixes, I will double check to see if it on. It should since I am following my own install instructions I wrote on another forum a few years back :D

Checking now... Fixed, thank you. It seems that all my advanced settings were reset or I forgot to reset them after installing the TSLRCM. Either way I feel better now. Cheers.

    Glad I could help :D

  3. New install, patched and I see the tslrcm logo. No mods. Ep not installed yet.

I have had this error/bug with 3 different test characters. What happens is that after I kill a mining droid I get stuck and can't move. It doesn't matter how I kill them (laser or sword or force power) I am forc3ed to save and reload where the droids then disappear and I can move again. It is even happening sometimes with the droid on peragus. Obviously this is very very frustrating havinfg to constantly reload after every battle. This is making the game unplayable. Just to save Rand out of the prison I was forced to reload 5 times. I played the droid until the part when HK-50 shoots him and I had to reload once right before the final elevator .

*It seems that when I get stuck and I am able to click with my mouse cursor on something to activate then I will become unstuck sometimes.

After every step of the install process I have done a test run and it seems that the problem has gotten worse with each major step. (Game install, patch, tslrcm)

    Any ideas.

There's a very simple fix for this. Enable V-Sync in the options.

  4. 512x512 px It's only appropriate. ;)

Alright. Also I'd need permission from modders to use any of their official images of their mods for possible use in the logo. If you guys have them, please send them to me. I want to actually do something for DS :)

Plus, you guys obviously wouldn't have to take my logo for a t-shirt. I could make multiple different logos if it's cool with you guys? ;)

  5. I think it'd be cool if the t-shirt was black, with the Deadlystream logo and maybe some pictures of a mod or something like that. I could whip something up in gimp and see how it turns out (Although my image editing skills aren't the best) If someone could send me a fullscale image of the deadly stream logo that'd be great :D

Also what would the resolution of the whole image have to be?

  6. Why not sell t-shirts with some Deadly Stream logo via Café Press or Zazzle and raise funds that way? At least the consumer will get a physical item for their contribution.

I would love that! I'm always looking at Deadlystream at school when we're using chromebooks every so often, and people are always wondering what this site is. Also in my first period today I discovered about 4 people who used to play kotor. I  showed them one of my videos and one of the mod lists for it, and they never knew that there was so much to add onto the game. I told them to check out this site so I think we might have 4 new people in the kotor community ;)

  7.

Alright guys. This is my first time posting but I love this game and owned it on the XBOX, own it on Steam, and now that I have a Mac I also bought it on GOG.com. I want to play this game specifically with this MOD.[TSLRCM]

    I have questions.

Now, if anyone knows how to install this mod on a MacAir could you please PM me or answer here and possibly we can sticky this. I searched the forums and found no such animal so now I want to figure out how to do this.

Now, I can play the vanilla version with some simple mods that I need to drag and drop into the override folder. I use PalltheTalls "Porting Kit app" to then make a wineskin app for KOTOR2 that I can then manipulate from the Application folder which looks exactly like the files on your C Drive. It basically creates a mirrored C: Drive that can function within OS X.

I also have the program CrossOver to run .exe files. It does not work with larger programs, such as KOTOR2, hence why I use Porting Kit for GOG games.

Now, I am wondering what I need to do to install this mod onto my system. I freaking love this game and I have only heard amazing things about this mod and have never used it before.

I have a few ideas on how to do this but I do not know which one will work or even if I am close on how to accomplish this. And I have tried a few things already but I explain. No installer ever pops up for me when I play this on my Mac Laptop and I vaguely remember what it looks like but that could be a false memory it was so long ago.

So here is what I have done already:

    1) Run the TSLRCM 183b.exe using CrossOver.

    2) When it asks where to download the files into I:

2a) Go into the applications folder and find my swkotor2 app and go to show contents.

2b) Go into the C: Drive and find the GOG.games folder (easy to find with only 5 total files in the false C: Drive) and then click to download into the SWKOTOR2 folder.

......Now here is where I get confused because of my lack of knowledge on how the installer works. Because essentially I see a duplicates of all the major file folders but since the installer program that Windows users have does not run on a Mac even with the Wineskin app I am left with a bunch of files inside several folders that are also contained within the KOTOR2 main files.

    So should I :

Idea #1) Simply copy the files inside the folders and paste into the corresponding vanilla file folder and overwrite the duplicates? So copy the TSLRCM contents of the override folder into the corresponding Vanilla override folder. Also the remaining module, lib, etc folders??

--- I have tried this with a previous version of TSLRCM before I realized that wasn't the most up to date version and found this site while trying to find this answer. The good news about this Idea #1 is that when I tried this with the 1.5 version of this mod I could load up the game and play and it actually seemed to run smoother but I didn't play long enough or know enough about the content of this mod to tell the difference in Peregus. It didn't crash the game and it played without glitches so that has to be a good sign.

--- Is there any way to tell in the MOD is running and I am not just playing the vanilla game without having to have me play through the entire game?

Idea #2) I have no idea #2 except to figure out how to get the installer working but I really have no idea on where to start with that.

TL;DR ---- There is absolutely no way to shorten this. So if you went straight to this you can't answer the question.

Thank you all so much if any of you give any time and consideration to this post and problem! I appreciate it in advance!

I hope this helps you! I just made it :)

  8. What if there were some way to continue the story after MaLachor, and follow any comics or books that are based around the same time? Hell, maybe even follow some stuff from ToR (Even though that game is horrible IMO) I know anything now adays is tough whether it's a collaboration project or not.

  9. It sounds good in theory, but I fear this has been what's been tried before with modding teams, and it's hard to keep focus on a project with so many different people. I don't know how much it would work better now, but I'm convinced that if we build up the tools enough to make it super easy to do, maybe we can get a few more people in on the action.

Sounds good :) Yeah I would think that it'd be a bit tough considering there might be a lot of people. If we PM a couple of people about the possibility once most mod tools are improved, we could contact specific people for specific jobs about the mod or something. Even if the mod would take a long time to complete. I think it'd be worth it in the long run :)

  10. Nah, I'd be running the show. I'm just kidding. But I think it would just be fun to do that with different modders, and split of tasks for a single huge expansion project or something. Also to have maybe some community members suggest a storyline mod or something as added content or something. Like, one person do the textures, another the modules, someone with items or something like that.

  11. Again, would be nice to have some new content to play through as it seems people have these games memorized by now.

Well, although this is only a small bit related. I've been thinking of doing a youtube video with a couple of modders or maybe a lot of modders on say, a skype call or something and have everyone discuss there plans for their new mods or something, and have people come up with ideas for possible mods and then have these modders collaborate over who could do what part of the mod. You know, basically a discussion about modding. Have them all work on one big mod that maybe the community wants or something like that.

Edit: Although I know that'd be very difficult

  12. I agree. I feel like the community has gone down so much due to either problems with games on newer systems, or just people getting bored... I would love to see this site having a huge selection to download from. Maybe even getting mods that were taken down from PCGameMods (Of course you'd need the authors permission for that even though most of them are gone) But I like what IS is suggesting. I also think that the community would need promise of great upcoming mods. This might sound stupid for me to say, but I think the community needs big mod projects. Adding huge things to the game. Maybe even making mod packs that combines all of a modders mods together or something.

Edit: Also as for the mod reviews, what about having youtubers review the mods? And then the to could promote eachother. I.e: Youtuber promotes DS, vise-versa

  13. Hey guys! Some of you may know me or not, but I was wondering if any of you guys post any star wars gameplay on your guys channels? I'd love to watch other people and what-not :)

This is the link to my channel: I currently have kotor 1 & 2 gameplays up, also a couple of mod reviews. (Just want to warn you that if you watch my kotor 1 gameplay, there are so many problems for the first ehh 18 videos or so.) :/

  14. Thanks for the replies, I should have been more specific. I was looking in particular for a mod to corrupt npcs in Kotor 1. Do you know if its possible and if it has been done in any mod to assign Dark Side/ Light Side points to different lines of dialogue?

In that case, no I do not know of a mod that can corrupt the influence of party members. The only way that I know to corrupt them is the adddarkside 100 but as for the dialog options, I can't help you there. The biggest reason that it wouldn't really be possible is because the lines (most likely) haven't been voiced by the characters voice actors.

  15. Hi everyone! I've been having trouble lately with bossr. Every time I try to enter the czerka mining facility (module name is bos_czerka) my game crashes on the loading screen. I can go to every other area of the mod, but for some reason not this one. I tried lowering all the graphics like what Liliarch said, but it didn't work. So I'm confused as to why my game crashes on this specific point. Oh and on request of SH :) I play on the mac
