TITLE: TSL Effixian's Twi'lek PC Pack 2021
AUTHOR: Effix(ian)
CONTACT: PM me on the forums or find me on Steam

-----------------------
DESCRIPTION
-----------------------

This mod pack can add 12 female and 8 male Twi'lek player characters. Most are based on vanilla NPC Twi'leks and a few are unique.
All have matching underwear and females get a unique Dancer's Outfit, based on the Bastila robes model.
The dark side transitions are a bit more subtle than vanilla player characters (all become more pale, females get very subtle veins showing). The eyes become like yellow Sith eyes as seen in the movies. A few characters have something extra as they progress to the dark side, see the portraits in the screenshots.

-------------------------
INSTALLATION
-------------------------

Unzip somewhere. There's a folder "Installers", every character has its own installer there so you can only add one character if you like.
There's 2 optional things for females included: "make the clothing the same as the underwear" and "add stats to the Dancer's Outfit item".
If you really want to install them all then I'll admit, it's a bit tedious, but there's also benefits to this modular approach.
If you install more than one female then the installer will give you 2 warnings about 2 files already being there, this won't cause problems.

Steam version / Steam's TSLRCM:
You can apply things to your Steam version of the game, you just need to point the installer(s) to the location where it stores your game. But...
If you use the Steam version of TSLRCM then you need to point the installer(s) to its Workshop mod location.

----------------------------
COMPATABILITY
----------------------------

This mod adds new player characters and should not conflict with other mods.
Using my Dancer's Outfit mod should also work in combination with this, in case you want to use that for The Handmaiden or Mira.

-------------------------
UNINSTALLING
-------------------------

1. For details on which files to clean up, see info.rtf inside the tslpatchdata folder of the character you've installed.
2. If you've installed more than one of the characters and want to completely undo things then you should go into the backup folder of the one you've installed first and place the appearance.2da, heads.2da and portraits.2da from there back into your override folder. If you had no other mods before installing anything then removing these 3 files will do the trick.

------------------------------------
DISTRIBUTION NOTES
------------------------------------
You may NOT use the material from this mod in your own mod without giving me credit, implying it was your own creation.
That of course does not apply to a few parts of this mod that are 100% unchanged vanilla files. Some vanilla files have only been upscaled.
You will likely get permission to reuse material from this mod in your own mods if you simply ask me.

I have been enjoying this so far on mobile but I noticed that for some reason the Echani handmaids are all Twi'leks.

Probably a mod conflict or wrong order of adding mods.
I can probably sort it out if you send me your appearance.2da, heads.2da & portraits.2da.

I've installed the files but I can't see the Twilek options in the character creation menu, am I missing something?

Edit: I managed to solve it with a fresh install, still not sure what the initial problem was

Hey there, love the looks of your mod. Haven't actually used it yet, but I installed the "Blue" Female Twi'lek, and then used the "Optional - Female - Clothing like underwear" addon for her and got his error:

 • Installation started 11/9/2023 9:14:46 AM...
 • Modifying file "appearance.2da" found in Override folder...
 • Error: No RowIndex/RowLabel identifier for row to modify found at top of modifier list! Unable to apply modifier "appearance_row_pft06_blue_clothing".
 • Updated 2DA file L:\LucasArts\Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords\override\appearance.2da.
 • Done. Some changes may have been applied, but 1 errors were encountered!

EDIT:
I used the Mission one. Installed Mission, then installed the "Optional - Female - Clothing like underwear" and got the exact same error. Also in game, when I equip clothing, it equips her standard KoToR 1 outfit instead of the underwear looking outfit.

EDIT 2:
I figured something out. By using this program:

I was able to manually edit the "appearance.2da" file. Using the "changes.ini" file in "Optional - Female - Clothing like underwear\PFT12_Mission\tslpatchdata\" I was able to see what needed changed, and then did so. I found the row labeled "PC_Twi12_Miss" which was row "694" and then I changed the "modelb" and "texb" rows to what the ini file said. "N_TwiAssasin" and "PFBT12_Miss" respectively. Once I did that, the underwear for clothing add on worked.....
At first. I tried to recreate the solution on a fresh install, but couldn't, because for some reason this program refuses to save the changes, so matter what I do and how many times I click save. It worked just fine previously, but now will not.

FINAL EDIT I HOPE:
Went back and grabbed this old thing. It works. And saves.

Thanks for letting me know! I found the problem and updated the zip.

Mission has custom clothing. You got the error so the "clothing like underwear" was not applied and you saw that custom clothing.

Hey, hate to tell you this, but parts of your mod are still broken. From the new version:

Installation started 11/23/2023 10:38:15 AM...

Modifying file "appearance.2da" found in Override folder...

Error: No RowIndex/RowLabel identifier for row to modify found at top of modifier list! Unable to apply modifier "appearance_row_pft10_red_clothing".

Saving unaltered backup copy of appearance.2da in C:\Users\Kyle\Downloads\Effixians_Twilek_PC_Pack_2021\Effixians_Twilek_PC_Pack_2021\Optional - Female - Clothing like underwear\PFT10_Red\backup\appearance.2da

Updated 2DA file L:\LucasArts\Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords\override\appearance.2da.

Done. Some changes may have been applied, but 1 errors were encountered!

Is it possible to use these skins for party members? In particular I'd like to give the "Mission Vao Twi'lek" look to Mira.

Give this a try.
You will likely get warnings about files already existing, but that's not a problem.

Man you are a legend! I reckoned that you might tell me how to do it, so I would try (and most likely fail) to do it myself, but you've actually made it work.

It's not just that you have some of the best KOTOR mods, not just here but including the other platforms, but you are also very helpful and forthcoming. Thanks a lot! And keep up the good work!

I unzipped the file to my desktop then used the installer to add the red female twilek. Opening the character creation screen showed a blank profile icon and scrolling through the character option would always crash my game after going past the woman with cornrows. Just selecting the default option and hitting play would also crash the game. I am choosing the KOTOR folder in my steamapps/common direcory. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?
