[Request][K1] Change feats at level up.

Recommended Posts

I suspect this has probably been asked before on these boards, as I've found other's asking on other sites over the years, but I've never seen an answer. I've searched this board and not found any one else ask, so forgive me if I missed something.

Would it be possible to allow for removing (changing) feats and shifting points around during the level up process. eg. Selected feats and skills aren't locked in until hitting commit, so is there a way to leave everything in the unlocked state at each level up, instead of committing them permanently.

I know I can use KSE, but it does become a bit tedious to do this every single time I play the game.

Within the mechanics of the game, we can't do this. The game locks the stuff in unless you want to purposefully lose levels in KSE.

Was there anything else that was hardcoded in the game aside from feats?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but on top of my mind: Baseitems that are affected by lightsaber-specific actions, classes that can use Force, player's "default" combat action, number of appearance slots (you can't add a new armor model without replacing existing one), the number of party members you can have, possibly the animation list.

Edit. Oh, yeah, and the minor thing called "level cap". Silly me to forget that.

Does that also include force powers being hardcoded like the feats are?

Was the level cap 30 or 50 in TSL? I don't remember, and can't recall getting beyond the 20s. If it was 50, it would be nice to have a greater XP modifier, to make use of it.

It's 50.

Frankly, I'd rather see content added enough for you to reach level 50 instead of simple XP modifier. I wouldn't mind the game being longer, especially if there would be a bit more variety than the repetitive "find the local Jedi and kill all enemies that dare cross you".

Use Stoffe's Arena Mod. No problems with experience anymore :)

Reminds me of The Witcher 2's Arena mode, didn't realise this existed.

But still I'd rather go kill Rakghouls on a destroyed Taris for extra XP or something like that, like a side-mission from Mass Effect 2- where any story details can be communicated through text logs.

Ok, how about using KSE then? OP didn't want to use it, how about you?

I don't understand the complaint, frankly. If you want to reach the level cap, you have two options - find mods that add significant experience opportunities, and install every single one of them, and still not have enough XP opportunity to reach level 50 "naturally" or cheat.

The game is absurdly easy on any difficulty, and all that happens in advanced levels is getting more OP.

If I would absolutely want to reach level 50, I could use KSE, but that's completely beside the point, since I don't. I simply would want to have some major story expansions to go through.

ok, I can respect that. Simply isn't the word I'd use to describe what it would require to add major story expansion though.

It was meant to describe my interest in XP gains, not the effort of building story expansions. But then again, I may be confusing my vocabulary again. English isn't my first language.

No, your English is fine, and you are understanding correctly. I misunderstood you, in this case.

Rather not interrupt my game-play immersion by having to spend hours in a Arena, which I personally find boring, or grinding critters. I tend to play for the story and in both K1 and K2 you are supposed to be powerful, so being a bit OP later in-game is fine (especially with the HLFP mod), and helps with the RP. I think the only way to reach level 50 for me, would be by increasing the XP rewards to level up slightly quicker.
