phenex 3 Posted August 15, 2017 So I recently installed kotor2 on a new system, and I am getting an issue every time the game is minimized. I am using the kotor collection version. Everything looks darker for some reason, and does not revert back unless I completely close and start the game up again. Anyone have a similar issue? Using a gtx 980 on windows 10. Kexikus 995 Posted August 15, 2017 Is TSL getting darker when maximizing it again or everything else while TSL is minimized? If the latter is the case, then I have a similar problem where everything gets more dull or less vibrant if TSL crashes as that's apparently some kind of color correction done by the game engine that's not disabled when the game crashes. Then I also have to restart and close the game to fix this. I don't think I ever noticed this when minimizing the game, but then again I don't do this very often, so it might be a similar issue. phenex 3 Posted August 15, 2017 Sorry if maybe I was a bit unclear. The darkness changes are in game and not while alt tabbed on the desktop. Upon bringing the game back up after pressing the windows key the changes take effect. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
phenex 3 Posted August 15, 2017 Ok, so ive pinned down what is actually happening to the game settings. After I alt tab out and back in, the brightness setting gets lowered dramatically, even though the in game setting never changed. But if I move the brightness bar forward and back it fixes itself. However, this is a pain having to do this every time. Is there something thats causing the brightness settings to change to my desktop settings and not updating back to the game setting after tabbing back in? phenex 3 Posted August 18, 2017 Did some research on this problem, and it has actually existed even back in 04. I wonder if the steam version is any different. But all the forums i have looked into dont really say anything for solutions. Going to try and update graphics drivers, and see what happens. Makes me miss my 560ti on my old rig.
