marsp 10 Posted August 7, 2010 Hello! I encountered 2 issues on my playthrough. First, on the Entertainment Module on Telos, the one where the Sith have assaulted the station, after I cleared them all, completed the Bonus mission to stop them from screwing the station and talked to Mandalore, the movie with the Sojourn starts and after that, the cutscene with Carth should play out. It does, but there seems to be a missing NPC (the one at the left seat on the front part of the Bridge) and it so happens, that it's the one that has lines along with Carth, so it stays at one point all the time, can't skip it and I had to warp to the Ravager. Now the next one is more annoying. After I destroyed the Ravager and had the conversation with Carth on Telos (playing Lightside Female) I went off to Malachor and there the cutscene with Kreia and Sion plays out, but after a few lines my screen goes black, they still do talk and after that the movie with the Ebon Hawk crashing plays. And then Kreia has 2 more lines (I think) ending with "There is much to be done." and with that, I end up with a black screen, still able to move. Anyone can help out, please? P.S. Before you ask, here are the mods that I use: Bao-Dur Jedi Robes Blue UI TSL Canonical Jedi Exile Darth Bao-Maul Fixed Mandalorian Banners Force Fashion Goto GenoHardan Fix HK-47 melee/saber mod jonathan7's New PC clothes Malachor visions alteration Mandalore Alteration Nihilus-Tobin restored cutscene Nihilus Lord Of Hunger TSL New Loading Screens TSL Un-Restored Content Final USM (got the compatability patch) Wound in the Force P.S.S. Regarding the Carth on Sojourn cutscene, I used the Admirality mod and The Battle of Telos mod, I had them deleted, even reinstalled the game, but now I think that they weren't causing it. Stoney 1,511 Posted August 7, 2010 "TSL Un-Restored Content Final." this is probably the problem since most of it's content is included in TSlRCM but done a litle diffrently. If you had the battle of Telos mod installed then removed that can cause the issue as well(it changes some appearences of people),Battle of Telos works fine just have to delete 222TEL.mod from your modules folder and install the battle mod. "Nihilus-Tobin restored cutscene" don't use this eitjer as we have our own version included in TSLRCM it will cause problems. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I get stuck in the Trayus core early, black-screen, and if I save and load the screen displays again, but I'm still stuck in the core. I can't get out by warping, because my console doesn't work. The only mods that I use that this guy uses are as follows: Darth Bao-Maul TSL New Loading Screens [i also had the patch of this one, but I deleted both after the errors started happening and nothing changed] USM (got the compatability patch) If I could get some help this time, perhaps with this guy's help track down the root of the problem (if it does come from a mod we're using), I'd be very appreciative. Thank you very much for your quick response! I will re-install all mods + the game and leave out those. Anyways, I encountered another issue, again probably caused by the Un-Restored Content mod. So, I warped to 901MAL to continue and went to the Academy. Once inside, the cutscene with the crew and Kreia was all good, except for the fact that another "sitting Kreia" was there the whole time, doing nothing. And after it concluded, I was inside, but there was no one inside, plus the doors couldn't be opened and I couldn't advance and so, I ended up on your forums again. That sounds bad mate, I will let you know if re-installing my game + excluding Un-Restored Content and Nihilus-Tobin cutscene mod fixed it for me. Hmm, I guess 1.5, since in kotorfiles the requirements are "TSLRCM1.5 and Ultimate Saber mod". Is there a 1.6 combatibility release? Btw, regarding mine and LS2's Malachor issue, I re-installed both my game and all mods, this time I didn't add those that Stoney pointed out and still I get the same problem - once the cutscene ends, I load up to what seems to be a different module from 903MAL (at least I think so, because when it loads there is no screen and when I warped to 903MAL, there was a screen of the first room you come in). If you talk to Kreia, she should talk as though you haven't gone to Dantooine yet. Sion should be stuck in a never-ending Force Choke animation. If you have that, then we have the same issue. marsp 10 Posted August 8, 2010 Ok, so I started a new character and warped to 205TEL for the Carth conversation cutscene and to auto-travel to Malachor and get the cutscene with Kreia and Sion. And.. still bugged. :S I might try to re-install the game again and remove USM this time to see if it's because of it/the 1.5 compatibility patch. If it doesn't work, it could also just be because the module loaded before my save, right? Anyway, if there are issues beyond this or this issue persists my best bet is to download the USM and then download the RCM on top of it, right? So then I'll get parts of the USM but most of it'll be gone, right? EDIT: The issue persists for me. Guest VladKyle Posted December 5, 2010 have the exact same problem as others here; TSLRCM 1.7 and USM compatability, game plays great until exit from ravager, goes to Malachor cutscenes, plays Traya talking to Sion, then 2 scenes of black w/dialog, plays Ebon Hawk Crash, then two more black w/dialog of Sion+Traya, then load black in Core (can save then load, talk to Traya about Dantooine) Tried to locate K_907_enter, and did not exist (but oldk_907_enter did... removed to no effect)... tried placing k_907_enter from USM into Override, doesn't play Traya+Sion cutscene but loads right into core (no blackscreen) without them being there, but still with a 'stunt saber' as before (without USM k_907_enter) stuck in ground and with 'sith assassin 2' in two corners... going to try the warpband Wondering if anyone is still looking into a viable fix? Hope this might help; I had downloaded and used kse (save editor) to experiment with Handmaiden's stats back after first Telos run, and kse was working fine... once I ran into the Malachor blackscreen problem, having saved after the cutsceens for the reload to see if their was a way out, I tried opening kse again to perform the warp on the savegame, and it comes up with this error message: "Attempted to read past end of end of dialog.tlk (tried to read string 136370 but dialog.tlk has 136364 entries) KotOR2 Spells.2da" SO, because this only happened after I made a savegame after the Malachor Blackscreen, I'm thinking that's what the error message is about.... hope it provides insight into problem for those more knowledgeable than myself I also have a savegame right before leaving the Ravager if anyone needs it Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest Erlynmyre Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) I'm having this same issue, all my mods are from the compatibility list, except for usm, but I have the compatibility mod from this site, so... Please help, love both this and USM, they're the reason I reinstalled again to play after re-watching all the Star Wars films.... Update: Ok, I was able to get around this by manually warping to 901MAL, but still some weirdness. Played through Malacore surface fine, then the Depths, but when I entered the Treyas Academy, got the cutscene where Kreia tells Sion to bring the exile to her, but there were two of each of them, probably due to my warp short-circuiting some scripts... then, I got bounced back to the surface. When I got to the Depths again, I couldn't open the big doors where the storm creature was penned. Warped again to enter Academy, was able to complete the game, but never got the scene with Bao-Dur's remote, either because of warping issues, script glitches, or possibly because I didn't do the Telos fuel bonus mission, and Bao-Dur was dead. Not sure. Love to hear from somebody who knows more about modding than me on this, I used KotorTool, but got lost in about 5 seconds due to my complete noobness. I suggest you take a look at this: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/KOTOR_and_TSL_Save_Game_Editor_English_Language_Only;68852 read the last few sentences: January 3, 2007For Those Who Can't Open It: Just so you all know, if you can't open the KSE, I found out that if you have installed a mod that messed with the dialog.tlk and spells.2da file, and if you ever uninstalled your game and re-installed it, the KSE will not work in any game since you needed to make a back up of the dialog.tlk file. You will have to re-install your mods that modify the dialog.tlk file. The simple way of getting around it is to make sure that KSE can't read your override folder by renaming it temporarily or renaming your spells.2da file temporarily. Just do something to make sure that the spells.2da file is not being read by the KSE. This may be the reason why I had so much trouble with my previous playthrough and had none for this one. lordrevan555 10 Posted December 21, 2010 Guys, I had this problem too, what I did to fix it was that I uninstalled USM COMPLETELY! Then reinstall TSLRCM, and load the save before i went to Malachor. It really works. EDIT: The reason that happens is because of a dialog file that USM uses that TSLRCM modded. I was too lazy to narrow it down to one but I just uninstalled the whole thing.
