Toa of Gallifrey 0 Posted April 18, 2016 Cross-posting from Steam. I ran Sith Lords once before installing the mod to make sure that it opened fine and it did, the menu opened normally and I just exit the game and installed the mod. After installing, it shows the the movies fine up to the Obsidian logo and then crashes when the menu should appear. I'm guessing it's an issue with the mod because of running it fine before. Help would be much appreciated. A couple extra details: I have no other mods installed and I deleted the three intro movie files from the data but to no avail so I restored them. I didn't try to disable movies but I'd rather have that as a last resort 'cause having to go to YouTube to watch KoTOR1's movies was a bit annoying. 1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur?2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.4 and 1.2 respectively) We only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods.3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY)5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.)7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?9) Have you tried using a different save game?10) Have you tried starting a new game?11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen?13) What language is your game set for?14) Which language of TSLRCM are you using? 1) Right after the logos, before the menu is supposed to appear. 2) 1.8.4 on Steam, yes. 3) Steam 4) N/A 5) Fresh installation, only ran the game once to make sure it worked. 6) No other mods. 7) Crashes right after the Obsidian logo. 8) Haven't tried yet. 9) N/A 10) N/A 11) Windows 8.1 12) N/A 13) English 14) English

Toa of Gallifrey 0 Posted April 19, 2016 You got an intel graphic card and thus have to use the legacypc beta, and .exe from DS rather than the workshop. I changed Sith Lords on Steam to the legacypc beta then installed the mod, it crashed again after the Obsidian logo. I installed the mod to Knights of the Old Republic II: Sith Lords on Steam/SteamApps/common.
Toa of Gallifrey 0 Posted April 20, 2016 I tried deleting the logos again but to no avail it still crashes.
Toa of Gallifrey 0 Posted April 20, 2016 Now the game crashes even when TSLRCM is uninstalled. I uninstalled both the Steam and DS versions then checked the game quick before reinstalling the DS version and it crashed after the LucasArts logo. I thought this might be due to the legacypc beta so I'm reinstalling the DS TSLRCM and checking. UPDATE: Just checked, it crashed again though it made it to the Obsidian logo. Any ideas? LiliArch 115 Posted April 21, 2016 Disable movies / switch to windowed mode?
Toa of Gallifrey 0 Posted April 21, 2016 Disable movies / switch to windowed mode? Any launch options or changes I make to the swkotor2.ini file don't seem to work. I've put -window, -windowed and -sw as launch options and it still launched at fullscreen, I've changed the .ini file to Fullscreen = 0, Disable Movies = 1 and Disable Intro Movies = 1 but nothing changes. Fair Strides 510 Posted April 21, 2016 The games suck as far as commandline switches (I don't think it actually supports any...). To activate Windowed mode, add the following under the Graphics Options: AllowWindowedMode=
LiliArch 115 Posted April 21, 2016 You need to set the Fullscreen = 0 in both Display Options and Graphics Options for it to work. The AllowWindowedMode=1 is not necessary for TSL (it is for K1, though - trust me, I've went through a wide set of options to get the games work on Intel card) but it does make the launch much more flawless, so I'd really recommend to use that, too. The only way to disable the movies for me seems to be to rename the Movies folder to something else (I usually use "ORGMovies" if it's not modded) and create a new empty folder with name "Movies" - For some reason, the DisableMovies settings never work for me. You may want to try that. Of course, it's not an ideal solution, as you don't see the movies there at all. That shouldn't be necessary if you get it run in windowed mode, though. And if it is, the issue is something else.
