rycyyn 11 Posted October 30, 2010 Just have a question on how to proceed with the HK factory. So I got the data pad off the dead HK-50 that lets you reprogram the 51's. I went over to the 51's terminal but it's offline and there's no options to get it up and running. Ran over the 50 side, deactivated them and the 51 terminal becomes operational, from there though I'm unable to upload HK-47's behavioral core or make any changes to the 51's. I'm just wondering what I'm doing wrong here, or if I'm even supposed to be able to recruit the 51's anymore.
VarsityPuppet 1,085 Posted October 30, 2010 Are you playing TSLRCM 1.7? There are considerable differences between 1.7 and 1.6, so we need to know what's going on.
Hassat Hunter 571 Posted October 30, 2010 Probably 1.7 seeing the offline thingie. Check the upper level, there's something there that can make it get online... PS. @ VP; Why isn't your 'walkthrough' up anywhere yet?
Squirrel 10 Posted October 30, 2010 in 1.6 i had the same problem, you need to use the console behind the chain on the upper level to reactivate the HK-51 prodution
rycyyn 11 Posted October 30, 2010 Yea, it's 1.7. Thanks, I never even considered going back to the upper level.

Hassat Hunter 571 Posted October 31, 2010 Well, I got it, didn't knew you wanted me to release it 0_0.
Markus Ramikin 107 Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) There are considerable differences between 1.7 and 1.6 It's really the main thing that has me continuing my playthrough, too. I thought you said there was no more room for "considerable" changes! Mm, wonder if it involves... nah, hope is the first step on the road to disappointment. Hassat Hunter 571 Posted October 31, 2010 Ah, the old argument you made that 1.7 doesn't change enough. Even if it's changelog is bigger than 1.5-1.6, which in it's turn was bigger than 1.4-1.5. Not quite sure what you expect, KOTOR3? Maybe you should try 1.0b8 TSLRP instead if you want to experience something quite different? No-one compared it yet with 1.7, only 1.4 and that one is quite outdated. It would be nice to read an updated comparisson, wheter it survived the test of time despite it's stagnation compared to TSLRCM. Also, did you actually do several of the 1.7 additions already, like the "Corrun Falt" quest?
Markus Ramikin 107 Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) Huh? I don't know if it changes "enough" about HK factory, I haven't got there yet in 1.7 and the changelog doesn't seem to mention anything about the Factory. To clarify, I'm just surprised because previously VP said there's no more room for nontrivial tweaking of the Factory any more. I accepted that, so now I'm surprised and curious. It was not a complaint. Hm, if you're referring to what I said in the 1.6 thread, that was not about me craving "something different" like new content. It's mostly that I feel close to overplaying this game, there's only so much playtime I can squeeze out of it, mods or no - which ties to the point about many partial versions knowingly released with unfixed yet reported bugs. But either way it's not worth arguing about here. 1.0b8 TSLRP is what, the old leak? Never played it. Or was there a new one? Either way, what energies I have for Kotor are wholly devoted to TSLRCM, but thanks for the suggestion . VarsityPuppet 1,085 Posted October 31, 2010 It's really the main thing that has me continuing my playthrough, too. I hope it crashes before you get there lol I thought you said there was no more room for "considerable" changes! I did say that, didn't I? The changes you suggested were a bit too much for me to handle (the big HK-50/HK-51 fight, for instance), so I fixed the main issue that people were bitching about, which was the terminal locking for the HK-51s. It won't arbitrarily block access anymore, so... yeah. I'll be the first to admit that it's still not perfect. I did as much as I could for now, having to work on MVI and other TSLRCM stuff. Markus Ramikin 107 Posted October 31, 2010 It's cool. That idea of mine was just an idea. Like I said, not complaining.
Migck 10 Posted November 8, 2010 I was unable to reprogram the HK-51s, when I pressed the "[core console] upload HK-47 protocols" or whatever in the HK-51 terminal, all it said was something like "Error: unable to contact with receiver". I had to setle with simply shutting down the factory, and so later at Malachor that Goto screwed me good... I was really hoping for HK to kick his round ass. I tried downloading the HK-50s protocols but that doesn't seem to give me any new options either. What chain of events at the factory would need to be followed so that either the 50s or 51s ally with 47? I'm using version 1.7 + fix and the USM installed through your patch if that is any help. You have to do that first, before charging the stations. Edited November 8, 2010 by Markus Ramikin
Migck 10 Posted November 9, 2010 You have to do that first, before charging the stations. Indeed, I didn't charge any stations. I tried uploading the protocols before stopping the assembly lines, after stopping them, before shutting the factory, after... and always the same message. Starfighter08 10 Posted November 11, 2010 You have to do that first, before charging the stations. Please excuse my stupid question but English isn't my first language. What exactly are the steps I have to take to make loyal HK51 units. I have already turned the production line of HK 51 back on (upper level). I fought an epic battle against several HK 50 in the room where you see all those droids being manufactured. What now?
Markus Ramikin 107 Posted November 11, 2010 OK, here's the step by step solution. 1. In the upper level, restart the HK-51 project. 2. Go down to the main room, get dialogue, clear the room of HK-50s. 3. Go right, to the HK-51 console. Pick up the Core Console on the way. 4. Upload the 47 template to 51s FIRST. 5. SECOND, charge all stations. 6. Go to the HK-50 terminal and shut down their line/blow it up. You'll get dialogue and HK-51s walk in friendly to you. 7. Shut down both production lines and the factory. You get the final dialogue with a lot of 51s in the main room.
Starfighter08 10 Posted November 12, 2010 Thank you very much. HK 47 is now a father himself, LOL.
Guest Rena Mayn Posted July 31, 2011 If I'm getting the error that the console was locked by user HK-50, does that mean I'm playing the wrong version [i do not have 1.7 installed, but I honestly forget if I'm on 1.5 or 1.6], or is there a step I'm missing?
Hassat Hunter 571 Posted July 31, 2011 That's 1.6 IIRC. And that happens when going to the HK-50 side first IIRC.
Guest Rena Mayn Posted August 1, 2011 Ahhhhh, derp. Thanks. I had to go back to my save before I entered the factory, but it was worth it. It's so heartwarming to know that HK47 is out there with his own private army now, under no one's control but his own.
DarthPebbl3 0 Posted November 6, 2020 Noooo I was so far and now I have to reset back to Atris's fight to get HK-51 stuff :(
