Need help finding a few audio files from KotOR

Recommended Posts

More specifically, I'm looking for the sounds for the opening/closing of the footlocker, plasteel cylinder, and metal box. An odd request, I know lol. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Though I'm not sure where the sounds are, I have to hazard a guess at what you want them for.   Cell phone sounds perhaps?

You want to use Kotor Tool, available in this site's downloads section, and open the placeableobjsnds.2da file...

lol No, but that's a good idea. I want them for a Star Wars mod I've started for the game Starbound. I created versions of those storage systems for the game, and I want them to have their original sound effects ^_^

Thanks so much for your instruction! I found the three files using this tool, but I can't figure out how to copy them from it in the 2da editor so I can have the sound files to use. Any further advice is greatly appreciated ^_^

I... don't think using files from a game for another game is a good idea. It's called 'porting' and heavily frowned upon.

After all, the files in KOTOR(2) wont be free for use, so you can't simply use them somewhere else like this...
