ScruffyHookinLerfNerder 0 Posted April 22, 2014 Hello. I actually did some artwork for a KOTOR 2 mod awhile back, one of the Nar Shaddaa backdrops. I also have modded Jedi Academy, mostly skinning and texturing, some basic modelling and mapping, nothing serious, but I want to bring Sleheyron to reality, and I'm willing to do my part if that's what it takes. I've told others of our plight here, and there will be more coming to help. I am aware of the commitment level of this task, but I fear that since its already been eleven years since the game was released, (12 if you count beta production phases) that it will be rendered obsolete if not remade or enhanced to play on future platforms/pc's with updated graphics and animations and such. Is it possible, Disbeliever, that there is somewhere where the public and other modders, as well as aspiring modders can see a checklist of what hast to be done, and the requirements for each duty? I just think something like that would shed some light on the whole scope of this project. It is good that you are going consistently, that takes stern guts to keep at it. I'm also a musician and have transcribed the entire soundtrack of KOTOR I and KOTOR II to be playable for the piano, which will appear in my upcoming youtube channel along with a ton of other transcribed projects. I have a background in applied math, and am decent at signal processing / fourier transforms (which would explain transcribing the music), not sure if thats any use for the mods here, but I'm a quick learner. Hope I can help with something, and if not, then reference and find others who want to help and guide them to the right place. The game deserved Sleheyron on its opening day, I believe it is worth it if that becomes implemented. If there is one thing I am good it, it's organization. Actually now that I think about it, I would like to compose the thematic music for Sleheyron to go along with Jeremy Soule's KOTOR soundtrack. I know there is a mus_bat_sleheyron.wav and a mus_area_sleheyron.wav file (the temple battle music and presently the song called 'the unknown world' which appears in the mysterious box quest) but all present music files in the game have been allocated to specific areas, so reusing them for something as new and exciting as Sleheyron would be anti-climatic for such a long wait. Soule's style is pretty easy to emulate, the music is composed of leitmotifs, with each planet having their own respective theme, and generally divided up between action and explore segments. If anyone else would like music composed for their mods, I'm willing to do anything KOTOR related free of charge. Maybe even a piano jazz version of the "pazaak" track playing in the cantina, with a heavy downtrodden bluesy-despairing feel to it, emphasizing the nature of the planet, like Disbeliever mentioned. Much of the area music is played in fifths, and usually going from minor chord to seventh and turning into a major chord (as evidenced in the tracks of Taris and Manaan.) There's plenty of time to discuss this later but I'm just throwing that out there now. My coding skills are pretty limited to C and python lol.

There are lots of projects that could use new music - not just Sleheyron projects.
