Crashes when I head to Telos' surface

Recommended Posts

I recently started playing KOTOR 2 with TSLRCM. Upon getting to the point where you take a shuttle down to Telos' surface in the beginning of the game, the game crashes.

I go up to the shuttle and select to take it to the surface, and then the picture freezes, I hear a tiny bit of Carth's voice, then the game crashes. There's no error message or anything, it just crashes.

The only mods I have are TSLRCM 1.8.1 and this mod, but that other mod is listed as being compatible with TSLRCM.

I'm running the game on Windows 7.

Any idea what's going on?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I've been using the Steam version and then adding the mods.

Anyway, I reinstalled the game and TSLRCM (but not the remote influence mod) and it still happened.

Anyone know what the problem could be? I'm at a loss here.

What mods?

Just TSLRCM and the Remote Influence mod I linked.

The Remote Influence mod isn't causing the problem. It's listed as a compatible mod and I tried reinstalling everything without that mod, and the problem still happened.

Configuration. Normally accessed through the launcher, but since Steam doesn't call that... try looking for swconfig.exe in the map where it's installed...

Closest thing I can find is an .ini file called "swkotor2".

When I open it, this pops up.

I tried changing "Disable Movies: 0" and "Disable Intro Movies: 0" from 0 to 1. Just changing "Disable Movies" had no effect. Changing both made Carth's voice not play at all. The game just faded to black and froze.

Try enabling the cheats (if you don't know how just mention that, and I'll guide you through, or google it if you don't want to wait :)) and warp to 231TEL using (without quotes) "warp 231tel"

That worked, thanks!

This won't cause any problems down the road though, right? Like, skipping that scene didn't make me miss any important flags or anything, I'm assuming?
