Havin an issue where i enter the sublevel but cant seem to figure out how to open the blast doors. any ideas?

I turned off communications, but I cant figure out how to turn of my slef-preservation programming so i can turn off the reactor.

You have to have the maintenance droid remove your self-preservation protocol for you--after that you can shut down the reactor and open the blast doors

It's in the same room where you view the HK-51 schematics--simply pull the chain and you'll meet the maintenance droid

Markus I don't mind helping someone as there is no walkthrough (yet) for the HK factory

Fair point, but the flip side of that coin is there's no harm in those of us whom have figured it out giving some direction to those whom haven't

Umm wait it's in the HK-51 room? How do i get there? Cause it sounds like this is furthur back in the actual factory, and I cant get the blast doors open.

 

EDIT: Found the droid, now what? I click on the droid but it doesnt do anything. I turned off communications, but i cant find how to rid myself of the self preservation programming.

It gives me the dialogue of how it is a badly damaged probe droid, and then nothing. i went through the dialogue at the manufacturing station, but that only gave me the hologram over the hk-51, and then let me reactivate the production line.

Have you chatted up the HK-50's?

Also, maybe you already used it? What happens if you try to shut down the plant?

Aren't any HK's to chat up yet. I am still in the sublevel, fighting Telosian droids. I pulled the chain and 1-D1K or whatever that probe droid was came out, but it doesnt do anything cept sit there and tell me it is damaged and that it looks like it can modify droids. I turned off the communications system, and tried turning off the reactor but that did nothing except tell me my slef-preservation programming wouldnt allow it.

There should be 3 HK-50's at the elevator after you turned off the communications (until you modified HK-47).

They aren't there?

nah there arent any 50's there. Look i did a check with my warp band and opened those doors, and saw 3 50's on the other side, but when i reload my save they still didnt come out after i shut down communications.

 

And no I didnt try that after using the warp band after using the warp band i reloaded a different save.

USM, but i didnt overwrite anything. i also have enhanced merchants, some skins, and items.

You know USM is incompatible yet, right?

I know the dialog files are incompatible. That's why I didn't overwrite them. I feel more like I'm missing something in this factory.

And yeah I have a save right before I walk into the factory.

going to reinstall and have a new clean slate again, and then reinstall everything except usm. curious. it was working so well before...
