@disturbed what do you mean by canon then? because it seems that the old EU was accepted even by lucasfilm. I understand that they want a universe that doesn't interfere with their plans, but I mean it was already set up. ik it wasn't set up by lucas himself, but it was even accepted by lucasfilm. even the games by lucasarts aren't even canon now. the EU wasn't just fan fiction, it actually became part of the timeline

hk-47 i'm not so sure about that because Disney said that the EU is now non-canon. the only things that will be canon are the movies, The Clone Wars show, Rebels when it comes out, and future media that is produced, not the old stuff. as for the canon thing, George Lucas seems to have never considered anything outside the movies as canon, but everyone else (including the president of lucasfilm did. he can't just not expect this lore to not be canon by anyone else standards. and Disney...

I agree that it is a complete shame that the EU is being disregarded, especially with how much care has been put into it. yea. It bothers me how they're just going to replace the old EU with future games/comics/books because the new stuff is going to be considered canon. I mean, the EU had some amazing stories and to just completely say it's no longer canon is a slap in the face to the writers and the fans
