Fix for BoS:SR 1.0 installer errors on modern Windows I was getting errors like: Cannot create file ...\backup\modules\ship.mod Tried manually creating modules but fail and later: Cannot create file ...\modules\ship_tmp\alienchatting.dlg the fix is quick and easy What fixed it for me: In the extracted bos_sr_1.0 folder, make sure these empty folders exist: modules backup\modules Open: bos_sr_1.0\tslpatchdata\changes.ini in Notepad. Press Ctrl+H and replace: Modules/ with: Modules\ Save changes.ini and run BoSSR_1.0_install.exe again. After doing that, the installer completed with: “Done. All changes have been applied.” I’m using the GOG version of KOTOR on modern Windows and extracted the multipart archive with 7-Zip. Hopefully this saves somebody else some time.
