  1. Oh I get it. So, "Pure Restoration" only includes the dialogue that Obsidian intended for Dustil to say and "Added Content Installation" includes the stuff that Fallen Guardian decided to add to it?
  2. Hmmm......does that mean that "Pure Restoration" is without Zhaboka's voice over lines that were added to it? I was under the impression that Obsidian never hired a voice actor to record Dustil's lines....
  3. I'm going to guess that you didn't hear back from FG. I noticed he also has two different installations for this mod, with no explanation as to what the difference is. Hmmm...........
  4. Anyone here that is still around, can you please explain what the difference is between Pure Restoration Installation and Added Content Installation? Please?
  5. The larger file does seem to be more complete after looking at the contents, but that's all a moo point now. It seems I've hit a brick wall and without the maker coming out of retirement, it doesn't seem like I'll be able to effectively install it. According to the readme, the Steam version (and yes, I'm using the steam version of Kotor 2) causes a few audio issues with this mod, these problems are remedied by the contents of an MP3 folder, that he made. His instructions are to copy and paste all the MP3 files there, into the streamvoice folder that's in the directory, these instructions are clearly incomplete. The streamvoice folder contains about 30 file folders with random numbers.......(facepalm).....I guess he forgot to explain more. 😞
  6. Well, no reply from Fallen Guardian. He's MIA. Looks like I'm gonna have to wing it!
  7. Does anyone know if there is any easy/simple way to run Kotor at 1920 X 1080? I own the GOG version. I'm trying to play it on my steam link, but it keeps going to black screen at the main menu and I think this is why.... Since Sith Lords can run at 1440p now, it's beyond me why they couldn't make it so Kotor could too?
  8. As you can see if you try to download the Dustil restoration mod, it shows two files with the same name, one is 337.07 MB, while the other is 352.64 MB. What's up with that? Does anyone know? Is one newer or something?
  9. I wanted to use these two mods. Here, and here, But when you click download, it shows two files. I'm trying to figure out the difference. For Coruscant skybox, one file is the actual night sky scape, the other file is the loading screens I believe. But no instructions on how to install the loading screens (drop in the Override folder, I assume?) and I have idea if maybe they're already included in the other file. For the Dustil restoration mod, it also has two files of different sizes, with no information on the difference between them. Anyone know?
  10. Yes, but regardless of my feelings about the workshop, without the instructions I seek, I have no recourse. 😢
  11. Hi guys! I don't exactly know what I'm doing, so I'm asking for help. I own the Steam version of Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords and I run a windows 7 64-bit PC. I have been told that it is totally doable to use workshop mods in cooperation with mods outside of Steam, correct? Only that the workshop mods should be installed first, as I understand it. And in addition, if one is using workshop mods, any mods installed from outside of steam should be installed to the workshop folder and not to the main directory, right? If you weren't using any workshop mods, the installation path would be: Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Knights of the Old Republic II But if you are using workshop mods, the installation path would be: Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 208580 > 1402798020 Right? Am I understanding this? Unfortunately, Steam doesn't install the registry entries that the TSL Patcher looks for, and I don't know how to use regedit. Can someone show me how (or provide the registry entry .reg file) to navigate the registry and show me where to install the appropriate registry key? I would really appreciate the help.
  12. Okay, I was able to figure this out, according to Hassad Hunter its the Jedi Temple Expansion, found here: https://www.gamefront.com/games/knights-of-the-old-republic-ii/file/jedi-temple-expansion that requires the changes.ini file, not the base Jedi Temple mod, as far as I know.
  13. Wait a minute. Effix, you are suggesting that I install the joint TSLRCM+M4-78EP (not seperate) from the workshop? You are aware that it will put all those files in one folder? Are you sure that wouldn't cause a conflict with everything thing else I'm adding to it?
  14. Effix thank you. I was wondering about that when I noticed there were two folders inside. I thought I would explain my full plan. And the full details that I need to know. Since there are three directories in which to install mods I need to know what goes where? As I stated, I already have TSLRCM and M4-78 installed via the Steam Workshop. I would like to add these mods to the game, hopefully without confliction. I figured out that the Meetra Surik head mod goes to the same place as the CJT mod goes: RCM folder. One thing I've been wondering is if CJT mod goes to the RCM will it still cause a conflict with M4-78EP so that the compatibility patch would still be necessary? It doesn't really say which folder Bao-Dur Jedi robe mod goes. Loadings screens and skybox for Coruscant, not sure where they go either. Should they be installed somewhere separate from CJT mod?
