Knights of the Old Republic in HD?

Does anyone know if there is any easy/simple way to run Kotor at 1920 X 1080?  I own the GOG version.  I'm trying to play it on my steam link, but it keeps going to black screen at the main menu and I think this is why....

 

Since Sith Lords can run at 1440p now, it's beyond me why they couldn't make it so Kotor could too?

I’m not sure what causes your black screens, but if you want to play K1 in high resolution, you should follow this tutorial.
