  1. I love that you're going through and doing these fixes. Keep up the good work!!

Just out of curiosity, how many do you have planned? I ask because when you are done, it would be cool if you released them all together as one large TSL installer pack, where you can select which fixes to install.

  2. I like what you've done with the Vacuum Mask! If you could work around the problems you mentioned and get a "helmet" to work with all the other masks that would be sweet (and almost definitely a permanet override mod).  I haven't worked with models before...but to address the clipping...maybe you could take one of the "hairless" head models and combine it with the mask model (you might've already be doing this lol) - not sure how much that would help.

In terms of the ocular enhancers, maybe changing the color? I've always thought of splinter cell when looking at that mask model - so maybe a bright yellow (to stay consistent with the color scheme of the texture).

  3. Hey hey! So I'm downloading this version at the moment but wondered if the skipping dialouge issue was resolved. By this I mean sometimes the dialouge skips through the fully voiced characters at a lightspeed pace.

I was having issues with this on my mac appstore version of the game (my cd version is back in the states so I can't test it with that version) - I installed the old version of BOS:SR and the patch with the TSL patcher (with only K1R installed) and thought it was the streamwave files being not being wav files as the mac version requires stuff to be in wav format not mp3. This doesn't seem to be the case and after a few hours of tinkering I'm stumped.

I've checked the thread over on lucasforums and I've only seen this issue twice, one person said they restarted the game and it worked (which I've done numerous times) and the other didn't recieve a response. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Who should get a unique hilt?

Revan, Bastila, Juhani, Jolee and Malak are probably a given. Bandon, Yuthura and Uthar should probably have one too. Anyone else?

Nemo, each of the Sith governors, and two for Sherruk? These would be more for fun...but maybe one for Shaela Nuur, Duron Qel-Droma, and Guun Han Saresh (ie one with the terentatek on Kashyyyk and two where you find the Qel-Droma robes on Korriban).

Just an idea...you could always contact the authors for Wotor and see if they'd like to have their hilt models incorporated, especially since Wotor isn't compatible with K1R.

There's that. But more simply and commonsensically, melee weapons require serious training to use with any effectiveness against other competent practitioners. It's not just a question of grabbing a stick and beating on a target. Also, training is specific; for the most part competence with one weapon doesn't carry over to another, with a different grip, weight, balance and/or reach.

As I said before, I got it from the KOTOR manual, when it says about lightsabers, "Only Jedi have the skill to use these weapons. Any other users would be more likely to injure themselves than their opponents."

Both of these make sense. In response I'd like to clarify that I wasn't criticising anyone for beliving only Jedi/Sith can utilize lightsabers. I was trying to put forth additional concepts to aid in explaining why the belief may be held ;)

I think the difficulty might come from the fact that a lightsaber beam is weightless (at least according to the KOTOR manual), which would especially throw off those used to other melee weapons.

That could definitely help explain the difficulty. I wonder if they have tried to explain anything in the new EU....

I don't get how people come up with this notion that lightsabers require special powers to use, where at all was it said that non-jedi can't use them very well? If anything, they just prefer blasters because you can only be GOOD with a lightsaber if you have the force because that helps you block blaster bolts.

I think it definitely comes from the fact that we generally only see Jedi and Sith with lightsabers, so it is a new concept. Yet, I vividly remember reading Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy and in it the enemy uses ysalamiri. Luke says he never knew how heavy and hard it was to wield a lightsaber without the force- nonetheless, this point would be considered "invalid" as it was part of the old EU.

My two cents worth on the movie are: 1) I really liked the movie, and I think that Disney decided to make it reminiscent of ANH to solidify the popularity foundation for the future movies...because if the movie was an utter flop then a lot of people would probably not go and see the others - I know some people who did that with the prequels. They stopped halfway-ish through AOTC and never watched ROTS. 2) As has been said multiple times, no more superweapon moons/stations/planets please (however, if anyone ever read the EU books you will realize that there were some far more ridiculous superweapons there ie Sun Crusher).

  7. This is a toss up for me.

I'm nervous that Civil War is going to try incorporating too many heros, and thus we'll loose some of the story. Also I'm a bit sad that they seem to be making Bucky the reason for the registration act. However, I still trust that Marvel can generate solid content - even if it is subpar when compared to other Marvel movies.

On the other hand, I am interested to see how DC will try to start their buildup for their own group movie.

Right now, I'm with Civil War...

  8. Hey!

I was thinking, since we have suggestion threads on: music, youtube channels, games, etc. Why not have one for TV shows!

    -------------------------------------

    Guidelines:

So basically what I was thinking is everyone can list a show they are either watching or have watched. This isn't limited just to stuff on actual television, the show can be a websereies, a netflix/amazon original, or something else too. It can be any genere, and you can post whenever you find a new show you like!

Personally, I would love if everyone also provided a super breif (non-spoiler) description of the show's premise, a (non-spoiler) picture from the show, and how you recommend watching said show - ie. Is it a show you can binge? Or should you only watch 1/2/3 episodes a day. Should I watch it with a group? Or alone.

I think that's about it on my guidelines. If you have suggestions on anything to add I will edit this section  :smiling:

    -------------------------------------

I'll start us out with one of the shows I'm watching (don't have time to do more than one at the moment).

Name: Magi: The Kingdom of Magic

Genere: Anime - Fantasy, Action, Adventure
Recomended Viewing MethodYou can binge this show (imo), but I generally stop the binge when the arc calms down action/story wise. So far this has been every 6 or so episodes (if recall correctly).
Description: An anime set in a world inspired by our ancient world (Arabia, Ancient China, etc). The story primarily follows the adventures of two characters, Alibaba and Aladin, as they travel the world trying to defeat towers know as dungeons  (which hold infinite riches for those who conquer them) that began appearing randomly about 15 years ago.
