    Generally seem to become Jedi for me in the following order:

    1. Handmaiden (have not played as female, can't speak to how difficult/long it takes to make Disciple a Jedi)

    2. Bao-Dur

    3. Atton

    4. Mira (LS)

     

     

    I play the planets in this order - Dantooine, (Coruscant-for the gear...  :laser: ), Nar Shaddaa, Dxun/Onderon, Korriban, M4-78, then wherever... I go in this order so that by the time I get done w/ Nar Shaddaa all my NPC's are Jedi. 

     

    Atton and Bao-Dur seem to Jedi up right about the same time. Bao-Dur is difficult - you almost HAVE to be LS to do it, and he has to be in your party a lot until he does - only way to earn influence points it seems... I was unable to turn him Jedi playing DS. 

     

    I concur VP - maybe the ability to be able to choose your NPC's class would be a cool mod... I will suggest it in MOD requests... :guitar:

     

    Ya I kinda made a mistake in the title and forgot to add "FIRST". I love to see that people turn other characters than I. I guess you have figured out their conversation pattern. You really play differently than I do. Very kewl ;)

    It's just Onderon being Onderon.

     

    Lower graphics to the min, and try to force it to load... it will after a minor amount of tries, then you can simply save and put everything high again...

    With over easily over 100 plus games I have never had this problem, however 99% of those games were played on winXP with the same config settings... I wish I would of waited for more comments but last night I uninstalled to the game when I read the last comment which was posted before yours saying that that there was something wrong with my system. Which of course there isn't. I have Fallout New Vegas installed on Ultra settings runni9ng "Midhrastic ENB", and Skyrim at Ultra settings so I knew that "my system" was working fine. Besides my "system" is a dedicated gaming rig. My "system specs" are on my profile page.

     

    Unfortunately I clicked the "record video button for FRAPS without realizes it and my ssd filled up the other day so I thought maybe the two issues were related. I decided to see what would happen if I reinstalled the game following the instructions that were listed on this thread. That was also when I decided to check my FRAPS folder and discovered all the videos of my last KOTOR II gaming session. :pc:

     

    Anyhoos I guess I'll reinstall it next week sometime :ouch:  At least I backed up my save games folder :blush:

    Try this, look in the main game folder and find something that says currentgame or gameinprogress. If you have that, delete it and I swear the game will not CTD. It happened to me on my dark side playthrough on Onderon, deleting it helped.

    I cut the folder to my desktop and tried your solution but it ha no effect. Every time I move each of those two files my computer remakes the file.

     

    Let try to explain it better:

     

    When I try to enter the cantina the LOADING screen freezes right towards the end of the bar and if I click the left mouse button the game crashes then with a pop up window saying that the game is not working. I just came back from trying to let the game load for over an hour. The game is crashing when I try entering the cantina.

    ok give me a sec;

     

     

    I can't, even compressed the file is too big at 6.28mb and the limit is 5mb :( and that is just the SAVE file not the entire folder. *sigh*

     

    I can't even find a "opengl dll" on my entire computer. Do you know of the path where you think it could be found?

    are you using reshade or glintercept? (or anything that required placing an opengl32.dll in your install main (not override) folder)

    100% vanilla because I wanted to avoid the mod incompatibility issues that prevented me from completing the m4-78EP on my last try 2 years ago.

    Ok I went to an earlier save when I first entered the Merchant area and ran past straight to the cantina and was able to enter it. However I turned around and left and tried to re enter and boom! CTD again.

     

    I guess I am going to try and replay the entire Iziz part from the Sith Assassin attack and again. Maybe I'll go to one save game before that which is no big deal as I have a save game right before speaking to Mandalor. But that will have to be some time next week as I have no time to game this weekend.

    So I haven't had a problem until I came to Iziz. It took me a few time to enter the merchant square. The game froze and then a CTD. I finally got in and played up until I needed to solve the murder and tried to enter the cantina. CTD. I have multiple saves and went back and tried 3 different saves. I guess I could try replaying the entire Iziz part completely as a last resort.

     

     

    1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur? Iziz Cantina first time trying to enter
    2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.3b and 1.1b respectively) I am honestly not sure. I followed the install directions from the front page exactly. I don't know of a 1.1b? How can I tell? ***If you are talking about the TSL patch then; YES
    3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? NA original disks
    4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY) Yes
    5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? No
    6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.) Vanilla installation of tslrcmm4-78ep
    7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? Trying to enter the cantina for the first time. Even if I try to turn arount and go back to the merchant quarter I also get a CTD. I tried going back to a save before I was in the Western Square and replayed it up until I had to go and solve the murder going back and forth and still got a ctd when I tried to enter the cantina.
    8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod? Are you kidding me? That is a deal breaker 0______0 I am not replaying the entire game. The most is that I'll replay from Duxun to Iziz
    9) Have you tried using a different save game? Multiple save games 4 to be exact.
    10) Have you tried starting a new game? That is not happening. Skyrim is the next game I start playing unless I complete this game then I will replay it as a Light Side Jedi Consular Master
    11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.) Win 7
    12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen? Yes

    I tend approach M4-78 a little differently as I likely to do Korriban last. I do this because I want all of my possible droid party members available to me before attempting M4-78. 

     

    In the hidden portion lay minor spoilers.

     

    In order to clean the radiation near the start of the planet, you have to send in a droid. Depending on which droid you send in, you're going to have different dialogue. This makes sense because T3-M4, HK-47, and G0-T0 are vastly different models in personality. I'm leaning towards G0-T0 for my very next play through as he doesn't get enough love.

     

    Back to your question, I suppose my order would be Peragus, Citadel Station, Nar Shaddaa, Onderon, Dantooine, and then Korriban / M4-78.

     

    I didn't read your spoiler but thanks for that!

     

    Um... when I play the Light Side I am able (after Telos) to finish Nar Shaddaa (my first visited planet after Telos) to have 2 converted Jedis, (Rand and Mira) and all the pieces for HK-47 and obviously I have Goto with me.  That is 3 droids so then I could go to Dantooin and juice up on crystals. I also usually can finish Nar Shaddaa with two lightsabers. One from the game quests and the other from the jedi Master.

     

    With the TSLRCM I have HK-47 completely built at the end of Nar Shaddaa because I get all the pieces from the assassin droids because they attack so often on Nar Shaddaa. After this planet I am unstoppable. I have a complete team with a least two lightsabers (sometime more and sometimes less depending on the drops) and three droids.

     

    My next stop is Dantooin and I go get the crystals right away so basically I play the entire planet with powerful lightsabers. I spend all my money on the Jedi merchant near the enclave.

     

    This thread is a VERY interesting and fun read so far.

    Why don't we have the choice to keep our blogs private (for community only) or public (where the web bots could scan them so they show up in web searches?)

     

    My idea is that we bloggers should be able to control whether or not an entry could be seen outside of the community membership.

    Now it always seemed to me that the game was designed to be played in a certain order so you are able to get a lightsaber and start off converting 2 followers into Jedi. Rand and the bounty hunter girl Mia

     

    I play the game with 2 different ways. The first way I when I play a Jedi character and normal difficulty level; Narr Shaddaa, Dantooine, Dxun, Korriban, Return to Dxun, Return to Onderon, Retrurn to Dantooine

     

    When I play at the "difficult" level I play as a dark side Sith Lord and I go to Korriban, Dantooine, Narr Shaddaa and then return to Dxun and Onderon and rfinally return to Dantooine.

     

    Because of the new m4-78 planet I am playing the dark side but folllowing my light side planet order because I wanted to make sure I was strong enough for the droid planet since it comes after Korriban.

     

    What order do you play the planets in?

    Which marker would I go to for the Kotor character creation screen? 

     

    Yes, what he needs to do is write the play list song titles and marker number in the description box so people could easily find the song they want.

     

    If I were him I would also open a SoundCloud account and upload his MP3 recordings there too. The site is fine tuned for music :robo:

    So I quickly skimmed through your piano anthology. My favourite part was the last song when the ebon hawk lands on the station and the final battles commences. That part was done very well.

     

    Advice; the hour and twenty five minutes is a turn off. I suggest you either cut the video up into separate songs or figure out how to put the song markers in the video so we could fast forward and rewind and listen to each sound separately. I think this latter suggestion is easier ant this point but keep in mind that you want your videos on You Tube to be between 2-6 minutes with 10 minutes being to longest. Once you go beyond the 6 minute mark the less attractive the video becomes and therefore the less hits you are going to get. The sweet spot is 2-6 mins. Once you build a following then you can increase the length of your videos.

    Ok thank you SH, I will start to read LiliArch's instructions. What I have decided to do is save all these mods for my next play through. My brother has convinced me to play a vanilla game (just TSLRCM+M4-78EP) for three reasons:

     

    1) I want to play it without any issues, last time I stopped playing the EP because of compatibility problems.

    2) I want to see what you guys did with the new planet vanilla before I start messing with the game.

    3) He wants to play it when I am done so I'll just copy the entire folder and give it to him that way.

     

    I will release my save game files playing; Difficult level, Female Dark Side using only dark side powers, Jedi Consular with the Sith Lord Prestige Class,  No Lightsaber until the Return to Dxun and the Sith Camp where at the end you search the tomb to find Freedon Nadd's Short Lightsaber and then I may use it in my off hand. Sometimes I do and other times I don't depending on the drops I get during the game.

     

    That lets me play the next game fully modded on the Light Side.

    So why did I post these mods here like you asked SH? SH? Helloooo SH? :cat:

     

     

    I am going ahead and following the install instructions found on the "HOME" page where it clearly states that after installing the TSLRCM the next step is installing the M4-78EP and then the mods of your choice. I really just want to get through the game at least once so I am just going to stay with these mods for now. I guess I could try others later.

     

    My plan is to play on Hard level, Jedi Consular with the Sith Lord Prestige Class, Dark Side using only dark side powers, No Lightsaber until the Return to Dxun and the Sith Camp where at the end you search the tomb to find Freedon Nadd's Short Lightsaber and then I will use it in my off hand.

     

    I plan on releasing my save games folder so people could use it for game/mod testing. I haven't decided on the sex yet but most of the time I play evil characters as female because you know, not only are evil female dark jedis a lot sexier to play I have also found that it makes more sense with the way the story plays out/written. I also love playing with Vibroswords as a darkside Sith Lord. Ya baby, old school ^^
