A: I could have kept this a "copy-paste" mod like the Steam version. But, Atton did not have entries/values for the Revan/Star Forge model, which this mod relies upon and that caused a crash if he were to be allowed to equip the item. The patcher fixes that for him. It also dynamically adds the item to Atton's inventory, meaning the mod will be compatible with an already modded Atton character file. Very unlikely, but why not... also a good learning excercise for me to do more complex things with the Patcher.
