Just finished and wanted to share some random thoughts

So I just finished as a LS male. I wish I had taken notes but this is off the top of my head.

there are several animation issues, dialogs that maybe mess up and some bugs...but that's par for the course with obsidian so they don't matter. :)

first....BOY DOES THIS MAKE MORE SENSE NOW. I beat the game years ago on the xbox and i really was bum fuzzled. a lot of the nuances that you guys put back really make the game.

I do wish more people were wondering places back and forth...like on Taris in KOTOR. Nar Shadda feels really empty.

It's also strange that animals that you fight on dxun, korriban, dantoinne, never respawn. it would be good if they did, so you could level grind if you wanted.

The amount of flavor and choice in the dialog is possibly the most immersive of any game I've ever played. It's amazing to be able to role play the PC as either angry when first talking to atris, entitled, or justified, or regretful. it really has the sense not just light and dark, but as kreia likes it, shades of gray.

I still don't know if I totally understand the ending...but in that good way, that you need to replay to get all the nuances.

though the ending is a real downer I think, even if you get the good Light side ending.

HK factory rocks!!!! though it would be good if there were a little more guidance so that I wouldn't have had to look up how to finish it the kewl way. I almost completely screwed it up until I read a forum post.

anyway. Thank you everyone who helped fulfill what Obsidian began!!!! It really is great and I look forward to playing it again...I really do need to try the DS character some day.

Thanks again.

and can someone at bioware or obsidian make a third game for those of us who want to see what happens next and don't want to play an MMO?

Well, off to bed...or maybe I'll start fallout new vegas.

Oh my God... I've always thought that grinding/respawning was a really poor game design choice, taken by the developers in order to make a game last longer (and become horribly boring making you fight to gain levels). I never thought there might be some player who actually wanted that!

No offense but I certainly hope that the TSLRCM team won't ever listen to your plea here.

I missed it a bit too. For some games it worked, but for others it didn't. The thing I'm looking for at least is a legitimate way to gain extra XP by simply putting a little extra time into the game. Level grinding would fall under that, and respawning animals is the best way, really.

Well, if it's a matter of adding NPCs/animals in underpopulated areas, I agree 100%. Nar Shaddaa is the first that comes to mind if we talk of TSL.

But I wouldn't really want respawn ever, in any kind of game. It's also rather peculiar for me to even think that such design choice might work in some games and not in others as I believe that the general principle behind the respawning concept is irremediably flawed and could never really work.

Yes, they do. So if you got examples...

I actually prefer safely exploring after clearing something out. Everyone their own I guess.

Hell no. What's the point if everyone can finish it, as you say "the kewl way" without effort. Put a little effort in folks. And there are many more solutions to the HK-Factory. Makes me sad everyone goes for HK-47fying HK-51's and never pick other options :(.

I get what you are saying and it can be a bore but from an immersion point of view, that the light sided Jedi wiped out all life in an area doesnt make sense. Plus there is no other way of maxing a character if you want.

On the other hand there were so many with at the treya acadamy that it did get a bit rediculus.

Agreed HH--a very wise strategy, especially when playing Oblivion ;)

HK-47fying the HK-51's is the way to get rid of Goto on Malachor so it works for me :P ;)

There are other ways...

Well, with 1.8 (buggies darn yah!)

(Or well, it should be, haven't actually gotten the files from Stoney yet to say 100% sure it works)
