Windows 7 and KotOR Series

I have been putting aside a lot of money aside each month to save up for a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium so I don't always have to use my friend's for new games. I want to know how well KotOR and TSL work on Win7.

The game plays fine on my computer, it's just that the pixel shading effects don't work at all (which in hindsight, could be my graphics card, and not actually Windows 7)

I have the same with Soft Shadows. That's an ATI issue though .

 

Also have to alt+tab to get screen after loading first time or after each .bik movie to ingame transition. And for KOTOR1 I need to erase the starting movies not to have it crash.

 

Aside from that... works fine on Windows 7 for me.

I've had issues getting both games to run on my Windows 7 pc. It seems everyone experiences different issues though, if they do have issues. I had to downgrade my graphics card software to get both games running at some point. Just assume it will work on Windows 7 and go from there.

Funny this thread just came up as I'm looking to toss out my PC and run bootcamp on my mac just so I can play/mod kotor. Needless to say I was sufficiently upset when I learned that the new mac OS with bootcamp does not support any windows OS besides 7... but I'm glad this thread came up. So thanks

 

At least I got win7 from my school for only $40.
