Is it possible to get Force Jump and Jedi Defense to work in conjunction with custom lightsabers?

Rather self-explanantory. I'm aware that, barring some exceptions, custom upgradeable lightsabers do not work with Force Jump and do not deflect blaster bolts. What would have to be done to allow them to function as intended?
