How does one parse RIM files?

I've been internet challenged for the past few days so bear with me.

 

I need to write some code to parse RIM files. For most other types of aurora engine files, I've found documents describing the formats, but I can't find one for RIM files. I feel like we might have some a person or two here who has written code like this or is otherwise familiar with the format. I know there are tools that can do this but in this circumstance I need to write the code myself.
