Sleekguardians 0 Posted February 9, 2011 Well, my TSLRCM launcher seems to be on the fritz. The buttons still perform actions, but there is no text displaying what action they perform (just rectangles.) Only think I've been doing as of late is adding some new force powers with TalkEd and Kotor tools, so I'm not sure how I screwed this up. Anyone got a fix? MrPhil 58 Posted February 9, 2011 Yup. Go to swkotor2 directory, find the swkotor2.exe file, right click-it and select the option "create a shortcut on the desktop". Double clic this shortcut and you won't have to see any broken launcher.
Hassat Hunter 571 Posted February 9, 2011 Only think I've been doing as of late is adding some new force powers with TalkEd and Kotor tools, so I'm not sure how I screwed this up. The text in the launcher is decided by the dialog.tlk, so you might have broken it using TalkEd. What exactly did you modify with it?
Sleekguardians 0 Posted February 9, 2011 The text in the launcher is decided by the dialog.tlk, so you might have broken it using TalkEd. What exactly did you modify with it? I was adding some new mod force powers, full force and high level. For some reason, they would make each others descriptions blank when used at once. So, I went into TalkEd and manually added in all of the names and desc (it was at the very end, like they were all done with new entries) and when I loaded KOTOR 2 up the launcher was messed up. EDIT/UPDATE: This has now developed into a much larger problem, no doubt routed in stupidity and amateur mistakes, but a development none the less. Now my dialogue.tlk seems entirely wiped, any every time I reinstall it auto empties itself. I can't fathom a way to fix this, unless I can find some where to download the original dialogue.tlk otehr then my disc. It seems odd that this issue would continue to remaina after a total reinstall.
MrPhil 58 Posted February 11, 2011 Hey, do reinstall your game and try to install Full Force Mod before you install HLFP mods. That fixed the blank description for me, anyway.
Sleekguardians 0 Posted February 12, 2011 Hey, do reinstall your game and try to install Full Force Mod before you install HLFP mods. That fixed the blank description for me, anyway. Worked like a charm, after a few reinstall it reinstalled correctly and doing what you said fixed my original problem. Thanks Phil!
