darkfire66 0 Posted February 3, 2011 I tried searching and haven't found much help online. I installed KOTOR 2 off a legit retail disc set. I patched to 1.0b I ran the installer and it completes without error. When I launch, the launcher isn't changed so i assume it hasn't installed. It worked just fine on my friend's machine. My computer has Kotor 2 on the E: Drive which is my main hard drive. I set the directory to install as E:\Program Files (x86)\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2 There are files in the module folder but... I'm on windows 7 x64. I would appreciate any help. Lord Danath 10 Posted February 4, 2011 It's a common problem with UAC and installing things in the program files folder. Reinstall the game and the mod in another directory. That should solve your problems.
darkfire66 0 Posted February 5, 2011 Thanks. I have UAC disabled (that's actually the first thing I do when I build a new PC haha). There is an override folder. Are all the files supposed to go in there? I will try installing to another location. Currently, it's titled program files but it's not the folder created by windows, it's on a second hard drive. Also, my friend's system crashes whenever the Ebon Hawk is about to take off from peragus right after the sith run up the ramp. Thanks for your replies. Guest staticjoe66 Posted February 5, 2011 [ Also, my friend's system crashes whenever the Ebon Hawk is about to take off from peragus right after the sith run up the ramp. By chance he doesn't have the Skip Peragus Turret Game mod ( My link ) installed does he...?? When I ran the game in W7x64 I had no problems whatsoever--since W7 and Vista are the same file system (NTFS ver 6) you may want to install this fix: Kotor2 Windows Vista fix My link Thanks. MrPhil 58 Posted February 6, 2011 Do you have the UK version of the game?
Anamarexia 0 Posted February 8, 2011 I had the same problem but it was that it was C:\Program Files\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2 (Two Program Files listed). Once I manually picked the install directory as C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2 it worked perfect and the launcher changed.
