Need Guidance Which Mods To Install For KOTOR Newcomer :)

Hey guys, first of all, sorry for my bad english. Second, I have never played KOTOR and KOTOR 2. Recently finished with Jade Empire and that makes me want to play this series. I need some help first.

 

I want to totally mod this game (KOTOR 1) so that it can look as close as a newer game (2011-now). I know, graphic is not everything but it helps a newcomer like me to immerse more i guess? 

 

Anyway, can you guys give me a list of what mod should I download? This include widescreen, graphic, gameplay, quest, weapon, sfx etc. It doesn't matter if it is 50+ mods that I have to download. Just point me to which mod is essential and can help me to overhaul this game to maximize my first time experience.

 

I have some experience in modding Fallout: New Vegas up to 24+ mods at that time.

 

My Specs:

GTX970

8GB of RAM

I5 4460

Windows 10 64-Bit

We don't know what version of KOTOR1 you're using.  That could help us.

 

Which do you use: the original 4CD collection, the Best of PC disc, the KOTOR Collection (which includes both KOTOR 1 and 2), the Steam version, or the GOG.com version.

Hello, thank you for responding to my topic. I bought the GOG version as I heard it is the most stable version out there and it is great version for modding. Is this true?

The GoG version will work just fine for Kotor 1.  

 

For Kotor 2 use the Steam Version.
