Maverick 0 Posted May 13, 2015 Hello Everyone, First i want to thank everyone involved with TSLRCM, i never had the chance to play it btu my friends tell me its awesome so i wanted to try, but i am most unfortunate! I have an interesting problem that i been trying to find a solution for 2 days now but i was not able find a fix for it. My game runs without the RCM very smooth and no problems at all, but when i install the TSLRCM (Latest 1.8.3b) the main menu takes like 30 seconds to load and it is extremely laggy, my mouse moves from one edge of screen to other in 20 seconds, i click on settings and wait another 10 seconds for the menu to open, when i click new game the game loading is minimum 3 minutes for the first load, once into the game everything runs smooth, even the settings are working ok, but as i change a map and loading screen appears it takes ages to load, when i dont have RCM loading is like 3 seconds and with RCM loading times are 2-3m overall for each load. I tried to install an ealier version of RCM (1.8.2) but still the same. When i uninstall RCM game works normal. Note: I just installed 1.8.3b, didnt install 1.1b mod. 1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur? Main screen and loading screens takes 3min to load.2) Did you install the latest version of the mod? (1.8.3b and 1.1b respectively) I have installed just 1.8.3b3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? I have the 4 CD US version 4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY) (Yes i downloaded the patch located here (http://static.dolimg.com/mh_netstorage/lucasfilm/patches/pc/sw_pc_english_from200424_to210427.exe)5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? No i did a clean install.6) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.) I have no mods installed.7) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen? When the main screen (new game, load game, settings etc) Even this screen takes 30 seconds to load compared to 2 seconds without SCM8) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod? Yes, i even tried an older version, same problem. 9) Have you tried using a different save game? Well i tried to go pergarus without skipping the prologues without RCM installed, i made a save, quit the game then installed RCM, the save game loads exteremely long (3 min compaared to instant without RCM) 10) Have you tried starting a new game? Yes11) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.) Windows XP SP2 - using Daemon Lite 12) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the the main menu screen? Yes it clearly states 1.8.3B on main menu screen. Ninko 64 Posted May 13, 2015 Yes i did, it updates succesfully and game exe changes to 2.1.0.0 from 2.0.0.0 Did you try setting the priority to "below normal"? If you don't know how to do this, while in the game, open task manager, find the process for kotor2. Right click the process and select "change priority". Hopefully this works for you!
Maverick 0 Posted May 13, 2015 Did you try setting the priority to "below normal"? If you don't know how to do this, while in the game, open task manager, find the process for kotor2. Right click the process and select "change priority". Hopefully this works for you! I will try that once i get back home! So i have 2 possible solutions now, -Deleting the KOTOR2Logo.tga -Setting Priority to 'below' normal Will post here whichever works! Thanks Update: Posted May 13th, 2015, 04:15 PM OK guys - hopefully I have fixed it and deleting the KOTOR2Logo.tga was the way to go! The other option (setting priority as below normal) didn't work. Now only problem I have is when Kreia visions appear there is a graphic glitch with yellow stripes around the edges of screen. It's not so important but it is still weird
Ninko 64 Posted May 14, 2015 Good job on fixing it! Maybe I will (maybe) delete that texture from my override, it may even speed my game up?
Kainzorus Prime 206 Posted June 3, 2015 Have you tried disabling threaded optimization in the graphics card's control panel?
